"The Cinderella" uncovers the positive attribution of cultural diversity. By reflecting my Chinese culture in the Cinderella character wearing Malay traditional clothing, along with the background of my everyday life living in New Zealand. The successful integration of the story of Cinderella (similarity of a human being) and my experiences (Cultural diversity) proves that humans are the same, they wanted to belong in a group/community without being criticized.

📣Mockup work for final year project on diversity.

Cultural diversity happens when different cultures merge into society, like Malaysia and New Zealand. These two places are countries that I have stayed throughout my life. Born in a diversified country, Malaysia, diversity has been happening in society, of course, cultural discrimination as well.

My final year project "The Cinderella" discuss the positive attribution found in a diversified society. The story of Cinderella will associate with the subject matter, cultural diversity to prove the similarity of a human being despite coming from a different culture. I will be reflecting myself as the character Cinderella, in viewing the aspect of cultural diversity.

[Exhibition is happening on the 6th of September at the Raw Gallery (SIT Downtown Campus, 25 Don Street, Invercargill), opening night at 6pm. Free entrance!!]
