The Strollers was a Malaysian pop psychedelic band formed in 1965, during the era of Pop Yeh-Yeh. They were honoured by The Malaysian Book Of Records as the first Malaysian Pop Band.

Aznan Alias, or affectionately known as Nan, is a living legend studio-session musician who has strummed his way to many chart-topping hits from the early 90s to the present day.

A little trivia about Nan:
When Search was looking for a new lead guitarist to replace Hillary Ang during the recording of the 1989 blockbuster album 'Fenomena', the record label BMG & the album producer-M.Nasir, wanted Nan to take over. However, Nan refused to join Search as he wanted to focus on his career as a studio session musician.

Nan eventually replaced Hillary Ang as the lead guitarist of GONG, M.Nasir's backing band, which he has led and is still leading until today.

So sit back, put your headphones on & enjoy Nan's rendition of M.Nasir's bluesy 'Apokalips'!

History of the Greats
...or better known as H.O.T.G, was an idea that emerged from my love of music. All kinds of music. 3 years ago, trying to come up with a title for a show that showcased artists on 89.5 KK12FM, H.O.T.G was introduced.

For this particular page, we want to highlight the glory years of the Malaysian music scene from the year 2000 & before.

We welcome any contributions, in terms of facts (juicy and true!) and covers and original video performances.
