Guys,

I actually did it! 🤣

With full concentration and the power of Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, I completed The Origin of Octopus & Crocodile 🐙🐊 in 2 hours 😏

In total, there were around ~ 950 words..?!

That's technically a freaking short story!!! 🤯

I did not fully commit on the pictures and glossed over the rest of 2025.

Your girl got too tired and overwhelmed by then 🥹

So, a revised 3rd ed. is on the horizon.

Just not anytime soon.

Thank you for being a wonderful patron and a dear artisan friend.

I still can't believe our very first meeting was captured in a photo! I may not remember exactly what we talked about, but I'm certain we geeked out over all sorts of crafty things 🤭

The secret giveaway item combines everything I love : sewing, fashion, and of course... BEADS!

Some of my earliest memories of making art involved watching "Art Attack" (millennials... ikykyk) and rummaging through my mama's sewing kit (yes, it was the Danisa butter cookies tin 🫣 and yes, I am keeping the tradition alive).

Back when there were barely any art supplies, I experimented with anything readily available at home. Not every "Art Attack" recreation was successful, no matter how many times I raided the home or school supply.

But somehow my sewing projects fared a little better 🧵 🪡

Berbekalkan the few times I saw mama's sew, and helped her thread the needles, I zigzagged my way through a perfectly good pair of tights, my teddy bear's roses, and any fabric I could get my hands into, without getting caught red-handed. I'm pretty sure that included tok babah's kain pelekat as well.

Fast forward to today, I'm just looking for excuses to feel the needle in my hands and revisit that familiar rhythm.

This twilly was found in the heart of Jakarta, at a store called Charisma.

The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew it would become the perfect canvas.

Embellished with rhinestones, Miyuki and bugle beads, and your average sewing thread, this piece was born out of that memorable trip 🧳 ✈️ 🇮🇩

Thea, maybe this is a sign for us to have an art gateway in the vast land of Indonesia, especially after Ole - Ole Bali *wink wink*
