Hiiii everyone!!
Finally, our Service Learning program has come to an end! 🎉
We would like to thank everyone for joining us last Wednesday! ☺️
We are extremely grateful to you all for making this Service Learning program possible and enjoyable for us! Our Service Learning Program won’t have such success without your support! We hope that everyone gained some new knowledge about music and orchestra and enjoy the performances prepared by our committees and special guest!!🥰🎶🎵

As Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, a Lithuanian conductor, says, ‘Music can build cultural identity. We believe this to be true, as it is music that links us up together👫👭👬. We hope that we are spreading ❤love❤ and 🌟hope🌟 by introducing orchestra music to everyone during this Covid 19 pandemic.

Once again, thank you so much for everything and we wish everyone the best of luck in all of your future undertakings! 🥰

Warmest regards,
UTM 20/21 Sem-II Orchestra KOQ UTM

The history and politics of the twentieth century inspired the wide range of musical styles that emerged between 1900 and 1999.

Due to the aggressive political environment, technological advancements, and massive changes in style, music in the twentieth century changed drastically. Many composers, unable to appeal to the music of previous generations, revolted against existing musical patterns, inventing exciting new forms and styles.

The twentieth century brought new freedom and wide experimentation with new musical styles and forms that challenged earlier periods' accepted rules of music. The advancement of technology enabled the recording of classical music and jazz, which resulted in the rise of world-renowned artists such as Pavarotti and Callas. The invention of electronic instruments and the synthesiser in the mid-twentieth century revolutionised popular music and accelerated the development of new forms of music. Eastern, Middle Eastern, Latin, and Western sounds began to emerge.

Ask most people what they consider a romantic song, and you'll get answers like John Legend's "All of Me" or most anything from Marvin Gaye. But, as you know, the capital "R" in Romantic music is works composed in the Romantic style, which arose during the Romantic Period.

The word romanticism was first used to describe new ideas in painting and literature, towards the end of the 18th century. This word was later taken up by musicians, to describe the changes in musical style, which took place soon after the turn of the century. Unlike Classical composers, Romantic composers aimed for a powerful expression of emotion, often revealing their innermost thoughts and feelings. Romantic music is not just about the emotion of love, it can also be about hate or death (positive or negative feelings).

The string quartet is one of the most popular forms of chamber music during the classical period. It is usually performed in a group form. It uses 4 instruments, which are 2 violins, 1 viola and 1 cello.
