WHAT DO I MAKE ? WHEN DID I BEGIN MAKING ?

I specialize in hand-sewn, elephant themed plushies, cushions, bag charms, keyholders & other knick-knacks. WHAT WAS MY INSPIRATION ? I began designing & making these elephants, in earnest, at the end of 2013. My workshop is also my bedroom. When I was young, I have always wanted a baby elephant for a pet. I’ve begged my father for months. He finally relented & got me a rabbit instead. I named tha

t rabbit “Dumbo” after the cartoon character by Walt Disney. My love for these majestic creatures was the impetus for me to start WHY NOT ELEPHANTS. WHAT INSPIRES ME ? Colours, People (especially my fellow crafters ) & FOOD !! WHAT DO I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT ELEPHANTS ? Malaysia too has elephants , so stop associating elephants exclusively to countries like India, Thailand & Africa. The Borneo Pygmy Elephants are uniquely Malaysian because they inhabit in northeastern Borneo ( Sabah ). Due to habitat loss, degradation & fragmentation, this species is listed as endangered by IUCN.
