Open Call: 2026 Artist Community & Research Residency 🌿
In collaboration with the Tisung Orang Asli Community, Penang Art District, and Hin Bus Depot, supported by PORT Ipoh, we’re excited to announce that applications are now open for our 2026 Art Interdisciplinary Residency—welcoming both local and international artists.
This year, our residency will be held in Perak and Penang! There will be traveling involved, exploring multiple locations, and connecting with the local art communities in different regions.
This year’s theme, "Roots and Resonance: Documenting Living Traditions of Native Artistry and Communities", is about exploring the native artistry and rediscovering art in nature. Dive deep into the daily lives of the native community and explore how their culture is reflected in their artistry.
We invite applications from artists, curators, and art researchers in the following disciplines to apply:
Photography, documentary, sound art, and mixed media installation art

2. Statement of interest (500–800 words)
