Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing superheroes out there! 💐

Our classroom turned into a colorful laboratory this week, where we experimented with water-marbling using cornstarch and acrylic! Check out these amazing handkerchiefs created by our talented students!

From choosing the perfect palette to carefully swirling the patterns, every student put so much thought into their creation. It’s messy, it’s magical, and it’s made specifically for Mom!

We hope these handmade gifts bring as much joy to the moms as they did to the little hands that made them!

Mew Problems—we bring the art to you! 🐾🖌️✨

Throwing it back to last Sunday’s Mew Problem workshop! We had such a blast taking Sim Art Studio “on the road” for this special session.

Watch as our students learned about Chinese Brush Painting and captured some serious “cattitude” on their traditional paper fans! From the heavy, melting ink shapes to those final expressive details, everyone’s “Mew-sterpiece” turned out uniquely beautiful! 😻

Happy Easter Sunday from Sim Art Studio! 🌷 What better way to celebrate than by showcasing this incredible air-dry clay garden created by one of our talented students in our Creative Children Art Class?

Inspired by the hidden surprises of the famous Fabergé Eggs, this miniature masterpiece trades gold and diamonds for some adorable and colourful garden friends. 🥕✨

It’s amazing to see how a classic art history lesson can turn into something so whimsical and fun! Wishing all who celebrate a bright, colorful, and very Happy Easter! 🐣💖

In Penang, the “Oriental Valentine’s Day” isn’t complete without Bubur Cha Cha! While others toss oranges into the sea, we also celebrate with this colorful Nyonya dessert- its name literally means “abundant” or “prosperous.”

Lighting up the night sky! 🎆✨

Inspired by the loud bangs and bright colors of fireworks these past few nights, our young artists created these explosive masterpieces!

The kids made their own unique scratch boards using crayons and acrylic, and while they loved “revealing” these vibrant bursts against a night scene, there were a few complaints of these thunderous bangs affecting their sleep in class! 🤣

It looks like if they can’t beat the noise, they’ll just paint it! These skyline views perfectly capture the energy (and the volume) of the festive season.

（Literally) Galloping into the Year of the Horse! 🐎

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we are taking inspiration from the traditional Kuda Kepang (“braided horse”) dance to create these amazing hobby horses!

Originally from Java, Indonesia, the Kuda Kepang dance has been lovingly preserved and embraced as a signature cultural icon here in Malaysia, particularly in Johor and Selangor. We love how our kids have taken this local cultural icon and given it their own unique twist for the festive season! 🎨❤️

We are also taking a creative break to celebrate the festivities. The studio will be closed until 26 February. Until then, we wish everyone a prosperous and energetic Year of the Horse! 🧧
