🎭 ✨【A Deeply Moving Journey in Puppetry】✨ 🎭
Organized by Iron Gang Puppet Theatre,
and co-organized by Teochew Puppet & Opera House,
our International Puppetry Master Workshop has come to a beautiful close.
Across three days and four sessions, we welcomed Yeung Fai, a France-based master puppeteer, who generously shared not only his deep artistic craft, but also opened our eyes to the infinite possibilities of puppetry.
We were also honored to have Taiwanese puppeteer Chiafi Hsu join as assistant instructor, bringing her own years of experience and sensitivity to the process.
This workshop was more than technical training.
It was a journey of artistry, body, tradition, and imagination — one that took place on the very stage where Iron Gang performs, making it all the more alive and real.
💡 How does one understand tradition?
🌱 How do we innovate without losing our roots?
🌍 How can puppetry cross borders, speak new languages, and touch the world?
The two teachers shared not only techniques, but a living spirit of artistry.
From body and object connection, to movement, breath, and performance —
every moment was deeply inspiring.
Participants shared how this experience left a mark not only in their minds, but in their bodies.
“This is something that will stay in our bodies.”
We are deeply grateful to both Yeung Fai and Chiafi Hsu for this powerful and generous journey,
and to every participant who stepped onto the stage with openness, curiosity, and passion.
May this seed of puppetry continue to grow.

潮艺馆协办的《国际偶戏大师工作坊》，圆满落幕。
三天四堂课，一次难得的学习机会。我们特别邀请旅居法国的国际偶戏大师 杨辉老师 亲临槟城，以他深厚的艺术底蕴，为大家打开了偶戏的无限可能。
同时也感谢来自台湾、同样深耕偶戏多年的艺术家——许嘉芬老师 担任本次助教，与我们同行。
在这次工作坊中，杨辉老师不仅传授了制偶技法、身体开发与布袋戏基本功，更深入分享了他数十年的艺术探索旅程——

🌱 如何在传承中创新
🌍 又如何让偶戏跨越文化，被世界看见。
两位老师带来的不仅是技巧，更是生命与艺术的分享。
从操偶基本功，到身体与木偶的关系，再到艺术的思维与传承——
每一刻都深深触动人心。
