MMU Japanese Cultural Society Japanese Cultural Society (JCS) is a cultural based society, formed by the students of MMU Cyberjaya who share a common interest in Japanese Culture.

Japanese Cultural Society (JCS) is a cultural based society that is formed by the students of MMU to share the common interest by knowing Japanese culture and its community. Every year we will organize our biggest event, called Carnival of Japan, consisting of several sub events namely, Matsuri, Japanese Cultural Exhibition, Japanese Cultural Night and Ghost House. Apart from that, we'll also have

Japanese Workshop every semester which will teach you on how-to for wearing Yukata, preparing Sushi, making Origami and practicing Dances. We offer Japanese Language Class and Dance Class for the students of MMU. We hope to be able to instill the moral and values that the Japanese have, into the students of MMU through all the events.

🌧️As Malaysia is currently undergoing its annual moonsoon season, JCS has decided to organize a Teru Teru Bozu workshop that is open to all members; everyone can take part hand in hand praying for good weather in the upcoming weeks!

Teru Teru Bozu is a traditional handmade doll from Japan, used by farmers during the Edo period to pray for good weather.

Want to know more on how to make your own Teru Teru Bozu? Don't hesitate to join our Teru Teru Bozu workshop! Feel free to bring your own stationery to decorate your own Teru Teru Bozu.

“年” means years.
“賀” means joy and celebration.
The word “状” refers to a letter or a letter.

Have you ever wanted to be part of a maid cafe? No— Not just simply eating and sitting in a maid cafe, but being the one to serve customers in a maid dress yourself!

Well, you don't have to wait any more longer, because JCS is looking for willing participants to be a maid for our upcoming maid café event! (^ᴗ^ ✿)

Here are some requirements to be part of the team:
: ̗̀➛ Must have had part-time or full-time experience in F&B.
: ̗̀➛ Must have your own maid dress.
: ̗̀➛ Must be able to commit fully to the role, and comfortable with interacting with strangers.

📣 Attention Cosplayers of the Japanese Cultural Society~!

👘 We've just released new cosplay guidelines to enhance our cultural events. Please take note of the following rules:

1️⃣ No NSFW/Revealing/Suggestive Clothing
• Choose characters and costumes that prioritize modesty, aligning with MMU attire guidelines.

2️⃣ Respectful Costumes
• Ensure your costumes show respect and consideration for cultural sensitivities.

3️⃣ No Political Costume
• Maintain a neutral and inclusive environment by avoiding overtly political themes.

4️⃣ Only Cosplay During Japanese Cultural Society Event
• Cosplay is permitted EXCLUSIVELY during Japanese Cultural Society events.

🎎 Please note that these rules MUST be followed in MMU's campus grounds, but are not applicable for events outside of MMU such as Comic Fiesta, Cos-Mic, and AniManGaki. Though, you will be responsible for your own actions!

We will be starting to add the participants who had applied to a group as soon as possible.
