Hi Everyone!

This MCO I decided to revisit my acting skills and create something for my wife. As it turns out, it's something that can be beneficial to many!

"Acting for Lawyers" will be helping address the problem of stage anxiety, lack of presence and sounding humane, for lawyers who want to improve their vocal performance and storytelling skills, by offering masterclasses on persuasive presentation techniques required of lawyers in the courtroom/boardroom based on techniques used by professional actors in your favorite courtroom TV dramas.

Acting classes for lawyers are also very common in the US and the UK so I'm quite excited to see how the response would be in this side of the world.

Attached are some posters with a bit more info if you are interested to know more, but do feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

FYI the date on the poster is not fixed. I am happy to run a class that fits your timing if you would like to make it special just for your associates, like a team building event. I'm also trying to get this to be worth CPD points from the Bar council in the future.

Hope to hear your thoughts on this even if you're not interested to take it on. Also, if you might know other firms or legal practitioners that might be interested do let me know!

Hey Guys

So...Wayang Kitchen is having our very first live event after MCO happening on the 4th of July entitled "The Pen-demic is mightier than the sword". It’s a short story about a fictional pandemic and how everyday Malaysian food keeps us strong, resilient and united in these distancing times. Set in the heart of the city, right here at KL CityWalk.

It’s starring Alfred Loh, directed by Hester Welch and produced by none other than Me!

We have 2 shows on the same day, one at 1pm and the other at 3pm
It’s our first show and because we are testing this whole social distancing theatre performance thingie-ma-bob we can only have 20 per show so tickets are limited.

Tickets cost 40 bucks and it includes your meal! yes! you heard me! with a meal!

Hey Guys! Our Community Trainer Gonzalo Morquecho AKA Home Sol is starting up a workshop aimed for those who want to find their own unique expressive movement and the comfort of understanding and listening to their own body. Learning to express and channel rationality, emotions and instincts in line with an organic and natural movement.

This workshop is open to everybody regardless age, work field or physical shape. Even so it will help performers to create organic movement to develop characters, dance and brilliant imagery for devising work. There will be a tester day on the 14th of March which is going for as low as RM90! Subsequently there will be a series of 5 classes running throughout March April and May.

Hola Familia!

I know this is a bit last minute, but i just confirmed the services of one of my favourite collaborators from The UK to come to Langkawi for a few weeks with me to develop my latest project "Wayang Kitchen"

When I asked what she wants to do in her free time, she said she wanted the oppeortunity to work with local artists and share her knowledge. So I thought I'd reach out to the FTalent community and we "devised a workshop"! Geddit?

Hello FTalent community,

I'm Gonzalo Morquecho, some of you might remember me because I used to conduct classes for a couple of years in collaboration with FTalent. I am writing you because I am looking for volunteers for my case studies as a Gestalt therapist. The sessions are confidential and for free. Do not hesitate to contact me by email ([email protected]) if you want to grow personally, get to know yourself better and overcome some difficulties which are preventing you from living your life fully.

General idea of Gestalt Therapy:

Gestalt therapy is an existential form of psychotherapy that emphasises personal responsibility and focuses on the individual's experience in the present moment.

It is a method of awareness practice ("mindfulness)" for both therapist and clients. Explanations and intertpretations are considered less reliable than what is directly perceived and felt.

The objective of Gestalt therapy is to enable the client to become more fully and creatively alive and to become free from the blocks and unfinished business that may diminish satisfaction, fulfilment, and growth, and to experiment with new ways of being.

Gestalt therapy can be used to help clients overcome anxiety, depression, negative emotions, self-esteem and relationship difficulties.

So here is the plan for Ftalent acting classes 2019. I’m going to be offering a wide range of mini modules to help cover major topics under the actor’s tool belt. It’s designed to fit the lifestyle of busy industry players to keep sharp and gain knowledge in a modular structure with low commitment of cost and time.

Mini Module: IMPROVE (Living YES AND…!)
Description: The art of improvisation is beyond being quick, witty, comedic, up to date with current affairs, agile and fearless. The core of this form is to develop an understanding for collaboration, whether with another person or an inanimate object. In this short 3 hours workshop, we will focus on understanding and instilling the right attitude by never saying NO and cultivating YES AND!
