Subject: Urgent Request for Immediate Intervention for the Safe Release of Five Tamilians Kidnapped in Mali, Africa

Sir,
I write this letter with deep concern and urgency to bring to your attention the distressing incident involving five Tamil citizens who have reportedly been kidnapped in Mali, Africa, where they were employed in an electrification project.

The families of the abducted individuals have reached out seeking immediate governmental intervention to secure their safe release. Given the volatile security situation in parts of Mali, time is of the essence, and swift diplomatic and consular efforts are crucial to ensure their safety and repatriation.

I therefore request the Ministry of External Affairs to take immediate and decisive action, in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Bamako and relevant international agencies, to locate, protect, and facilitate the safe return of these individuals at the earliest.

The Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Board stands ready to assist with any necessary coordination or information from the families in Tamil Nadu.

Your prompt attention and action on this humanitarian and urgent matter will bring immense relief to the affected families and to the Tamil community worldwide.
