We invite you to a sacred night of Híkuri (also known as Pe**te) with Marakame Casiano Ortiz, guardian of the Wixárika tradition from the community of San Andrés Cohamiata, Jalisco, México.

The Wixárika people (Huicholes) have preserved one of the most ancient and profound spiritual traditions of Mesoamerica. Guided by the Marakame (traditional healer, singer, and spiritual guide), the ceremony opens a space of connection with the sacred cactus Híkuri, a medicine of prayer, vision, and healing.

✨ This night will be a journey into songs, offerings, and rituals that honor the wisdom of the land, the spirits of nature, and the guidance of the ancestors.

🌿 About the guide:
*Marakame Casiano Ortiz* is a respected elder and traditional medicine man from San Andrés Cohamiata, Jalisco. As a Marakame, he has been initiated through years of pilgrimages, prayers, and deep dedication to the sacred traditions of his people. He comes to share not only the medicine but the spiritual knowledge and songs that sustain his community.
