Winter at Yolotl
Tlayacapan, a Pottery Town Surrounded by Mountains
This winter, we invite families to slow down and experience life in community at Yolotl, a small holistic space nestled in the mountains of Tlayacapan, Mexico.
Here, nature is not a backdrop, it is part of everyday life. Cactus fields and mountains begin just outside the door. Sunrises and sunsets are visible from home, with Popocatépetl watching quietly in the distance.
Our winter sessions are designed for families who value meaningful time together.
Children explore art, self-expression, movement, mindfulness, and free play, guided with care and respect for their rhythms. Activities often extend into the town through cultural immersions such as artisan workshops, markets, and daily life in a traditional Mexican pueblo.
Families live close to one another in a simple, authentic coliving environment. There is space to cook together, rest, play, practice yoga, gather, and connect. Children enjoy open outdoor areas, a small pool, a basketball court, and plenty of room to just be kids.
An essential part of Yolotl is honoring the earth and the human experience. Traditional ceremonies, ancestral wisdom, and natural remedies are shared with openness and deep respect for all beliefs, offering something many families didn’t know they needed until they experienced it.
Tlayacapan itself invites a step back in time. Local markets, small family restaurants, walking everywhere, cash payments, and a slower rhythm that naturally brings families closer together.
Many families arrive for a few weeks and wish they had stayed longer.
