Galeria Nepantla is a concept gallery and art studio of contemporary myth painter, Isis Rodriguez. She produces all her paintings here and art works are purchased directly from her. Occasionally she gives art classes and art tours of her works.

Viajé a la Ciudad de México para visitar a la Dra. Martina Ayala, curadora de "Aquí y Alla", su más reciente proyecto expositivo que se inaugurará a principios de septiembre, coincidiendo con la Independencia de México. El proyecto se centra en el espacio intermedio de Nepantla, lugar donde nacen mis obras. Durante mi visita, asistimos a la inauguración de la exposición de Daniel Lezama, que fue muy impactante, y decidimos tomarnos una foto con él. Fue una noche maravillosa de arte e ideas. Me incluirá en su próximo podcast con "Aquí y Alla".

I went to Mexico City to visit with Dr. Martina Ayala curator of "Aquí y Alla", her latest exhibition project that will open in early September in time for Mexican Independence. The project will focus on the inbetween space of nepantla, a place where my art works are birthed from. While there, we went to the inauguration of Daniel Lezama's art exhibit, which was very powerful and decided to get a picture with him. It was an amazing night of art and ideas. She will be featuring me in her upcoming Podcast with "Aqui y Alla".

'La adoración de la quinceañera', 46"x46", óleo sobre madera, de mi serie más reciente 'Majestousa'. Esta es una pintura de gran formato que representa el ritual de vestir a una joven de 15 años en su transición de niña a mujer adulta. Si alguna vez ven una de mis pinturas sin firmar, es porque todavía está en proceso, tal como lo está esta. Me ha tomado un año llevar esta pintura hasta esta etapa, y eso se debe a que tiene una enorme cantidad de detalles y tuve que inventar toda la iluminación por mi cuenta."

It has always been my fantasy to be a court painter. "The Adornation of the Quinceañera" 46"x46" Oil over Wood from my newest series "Majestic". This is a large format painting that depicts the ritual of dressing a 15 year old girl undergoing her transformation from child to adult woman. If you ever see one of my paintings unsigned, its because it is still in progress which this one still is. This painting has taken me a year to get to this stage and that is because there is an enormous amount of details and I had to invent all the lighting myself.

I finished a painting called, "The Chamberlain" from my series Majestic. Now I'm going to sign it. I sign all my paintings because I am proud of my work and to prevent fraud.

All my paintings are carefully planned digital collage sketches where I cut and paste using photoshop. I have to invent all the light and shadows the light and shadows are incorrect and have to be adjusted to the 2 chandeliers.
