La Petite Etiquette

In La Petite Etiquette, we will teach children etiquette through a variety of courses in a fun, safe Ages 6-12.

La Petite Etiquette helps young children learn about different etiquette in a variety of situations, social graces and manners at home as well as the finer details in life. All courses take place in my home in Bosques de Las Lomas in an encolsed gated community. Classes will be given by Shahpary Pulido an expert in etiquette and Andrea Villagomez, a child psychologist. The classes are in English

(both instructors native language) and we will cover various topics: An introduction to etiquette, table manners, table settings, tea & dessert settings (only for girls), engaging in polite coversation, the etiquette of greeting and saying goodbye, correct posture, hygiene and grooming, the etiquette at events, parties and gift giving, netiquette (internet etiquette & online safety), travel manners for land and air & basic rules while travelling, cultural differences & being respectful, how to behave in restaurants, how to be an excellent host and guest, good manners helping at home and flower arrangements (only for girls).

A. Tea and dessert: Students learned how to prepare tea and a dessert setting.

1. How to drink tea properly, always picking up the saucer and tea cup and pinky out.
2. How to add sugar to tea, quietly.
3. How to place the spoon on the saucer in the correct direction.
4. How to take out your tea bag and where to place it.
5. How to politely offer snacks from the two tiered cake stand.
6. How to cut cake.
7. How to pour tea using both hands on the teapot.

B. How to hang clothes correctly: they learned that there are different types of hangers for various clothes. Students practised how to properly hang pants, skirts and shirts with or without sleeves.
