Morgan Mandalay in Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art: "In the paintings as in zoo, the ape is the central figure, on display behind bars, and human arms and hands reach in from outside of the cage and from beyond the frame, cell phone cameras snapping, wine glasses about to be clinked, half-smoked ci******es balancing on the edges of the cage. As we spectate upon ourselves spectating upon, we realize that we are the bodies left out of the frame, and we become entrapped within our own complicity."

Our previous exhibition — Vessels, by Tomás Díaz Cedeño — is featured in ARTnews Magazine:

"... The piece draped angularly, its folds and holes gaping like injuries. The rest of the pieces in the show, while less evocative of crucifixion, took a decidedly esoteric approach to materials: furs, huizache branches, seeds, roots, and snakeskin, all bent and tucked together in earth-toned wrappings. They had one foot in the ordinary world of plaster and concrete, and the other, dangling in the great beyond of hexes and sacraments."
