Thrilled to announce that our Co-founder, Surella Segú, is one of the 6 finalists for the six finalists DIVIA Award 2025!

These outstanding women architects have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and impact in their fields.

⭐️ Surella Segú is the co-founder of El Cielo, an architectural practice addressing urban challenges in Mexico through collaboration and design.

Join us in celebrating their achievements as we count down to the big reveal. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on 10 May, the first day of Architecture Biennale 2025 at ECC, Palazzo Mora in Venice.

The ceremony also marks the opening of the DIVIA exhibition, which will run at Palazzo Mora until the Biennale concludes on 23 November 2025. The exhibition will include an introduction to DIVIA, video interviews with the finalists, and a selection of their projects.

The finalists will be featured in an accompanying catalogue published by Hatje Cantz, which will be presented in Venice.

Research project with the support of the National System of Art Creators that delves into the intermediate, flexible and non-programmatic spaces that anticipate the entrance or exit between the wall and the public space, such as hallways, portals, thresholds, gardens, small shops, terraces, steps, alleys and even streets, among others; from a gender perspective.

Proyecto de investigación con apoyo del Sistema Nacional de Creadores del Arte que ahonda en los espacios intermedios, flexibles y no programáticos que anticipan la entrada o salida entre una vivienda y el paramento, como pasillos, portales, umbrales, jardines, tiendas, terrazas, escalones, callejones e incluso calles, entre otros; desde una perspectiva de género.
