LAST SAN DIEGO ART POP UP

At Harry’s Coffee Shop in La Jolla

Lots of you have been asking where to get the La Jolla print, so I was able to squeeze in a little pop up in La Jolla this Saturday. Inventory is limited so come early!

I will literally be driving away from San San Diego for the summer right after this, so stop by to get your La Jolla, Bird Rock, PB and San Diego prints, along with some new California nature pieces only available in person.

Balboa Park, alive!

5 things you may now know about Balboa park:
1. It’s is bigger than Central Park- almost double the size!
2. The creation of the Panama Canal is credited for sparking the construction of much of Balboa Park. San Diego was the first Port of Call on the Pacific Coast which, led to the creation of the 1915 Panama- California exposition, and led to the construction of much of of what is now Balboa park.
3. An orangutan named Ken Allen escaped from the zoo 3 times 🐵
4. Many of the park’s buildings were used by the military during World War 1 as training and living space.
5. Palm Canyon has 58 species of trees and 450 palms. There was also a giant water gun fight in front of the Botanical building in 2012 that resulted in $10,000 of damage :p
