“Bowvee 2026”
-
Colombian American indie pop outfit Bowvee is the creation of 20-year-old Nick Bove. In 2023, Bowvee released its first album “Cool Guy” as a newcomer in Milwaukee. After spending a year playing out in the city, becoming familiar with the culture and community, Bowvee now takes a tonal shift in the music. Their [new] album “Pumpkin Pie” is a pivot towards a more raw and honest sound. Building upon past singles “La Croix”, “SIDE EYE” and “Pumpkin Pie”, Bowvee intends to push barriers both lyrically and sonically. Jangly guitars and bright melodies still lead the way, but now within context of growing up and moving on from adolescence.

The debut album from Bowvee, “Cool Guy,” came out just as summer was turning to fall. Building on the success of past singles, the project features nine songs full of clever melodies and a fresh energy. Indie pop hooks are the sort of thing that may never leave your head if written well enough, and Bowvee has some contenders for tracks that are capable of such potency. Jangly guitars and bright synths lead the way here, making Bowvee a newcomer that you definitely need to look out for. -Allen Halas

I wanted to do a professional photoshoot for one of my good buddies . In this shoot I explored lighting techniques, while also trying to bring out the aesthetic of Nick’s music through various stills.
