Uno de los álbumes más emblemáticos de todos los tiempos; un 17 de marzo de 1973 se lanza el álbum de Pink Floyd llamado The Dark Side of the Moon en Estados Unidos.

Con un éxito tanto en críticas como en ventas, llegó a la lista Billboard 200 permaneciendo en las listas 937 semanas (más de 19 años), convirtiéndose en el álbum que más tiempo ha permanecido en dicha listas de toda la historia musical.

Con una aproximado en ventas de 45 millones de copias, es así el tercer álbum más vendido de todos los tiempos , tan sólo detrás de Thriller de Michael Jackson y Back in Black de AC/DC.
