Working on assets for the new website and decided to mess around and paint myself in black and white mode on my iPad using a swirled color palette. The results are a Lisa Frank fever dream and I kind of love it!

I was very excited that Peter Pan was the subject matter for April challenge. We saw the amazing production of Peter Pan a couple of weeks ago at Ballet Jalisco and both myself and my little artist buddy were ready to tackle this one. The first 2 images are mine - with the title and author and without.

The final image is an entry into the challenge by my 7 year old, Lawson. I think she hit it out of the park.

If you’re in Bologna at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair coming up…I wish I was there too BUT I am there in spirit on the Virtual Illustrators Wall!! Very exciting stuff and I hope to actually visit in the future in person.

I worked on these designs for the call. I couldn’t choose my fav color combination so I thought I would put it out to the masses! Which one is your favorite? Drop it in the comments below⬇️ The illustration is a version of my birth chart along with all the zodiac signs in their proper hemisphere. They asked for zodiac, zodiac they shall have!

Super exciting things going on over here. Finally feel like I’m truly making some portfolio headway. I decided to take all of my color inspiration from different flowers. What grows together, goes together is more ways than one! Mission book a book is on.

Good news is that I did get this finished in time! This was a super fun challenge. Here are some of the adorable friends celebrating May Day! I’m really loving creating new pieces right now and rebuilding the lost portfolio. Sometimes the universe intervenes and tells you to start over. I think it was for the best.
