🖤 STEP BY STEP: BRUISES FX
Creating realistic bruises is all about layering and blending. Here’s how I build mine:
1️⃣ Start with yellow tones – Apply a soft layer of yellow cream to stain the skin and create that early trauma base. Blend the edges well.
2️⃣ Add red + deep burgundy – Focus the darker shades toward the center to build depth and dimension. Keep the outer edges diffused for realism.
3️⃣ Intensify with purple/blue – Layer deeper tones in the center and slightly uneven shapes. Real bruises are irregular, not perfect circles.
4️⃣ Detailing – Add subtle vein tones or darker patches using a thin brush. Set everything with powder to lock it in.
✨ The key is layering, transparency, and soft blending.
