This week was filled with creativity, music, learning, and excitement as our Kids Club members continued developing new skills and preparing for the exciting months ahead!

Creative Arts with Teacher Alejandra
Our young artists enjoyed exploring their creativity through coffee painting and naïf art with Teacher Alejandra. Using natural materials and vibrant imagination, the children created unique pieces of artwork while learning about artistic expression, color, and composition. Their enthusiasm and creativity continue to inspire us every week.
Choir Program Update
The Kids Club Choir is hard at work preparing a new and exciting repertoire under the guidance of Teacher Abraham and Teacher Aquiles. The students have begun rehearsing the inspiring songs “Baba Yetu” and “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho.” Through music, the children are developing confidence, teamwork, rhythm, and vocal skills while enjoying the joy of singing together.

English Program Progress
Our English classes with Teacher Abraham and Teacher Myra continue to move forward successfully. This week, students explored important language foundations, including:
● The basic rules of sentence structure
● Verbs in their infinitive form
● Personal pronouns
The children are showing great enthusiasm and making steady progress as they build their English communication skills.

Summer Camp Is Almost Here!
We are very excited because our Summer Camp begins in July! The children can look forward to a fun-filled program that includes:
● Swimming activities
● Arts and crafts
● Dance classes
● And an amazing final circus performance!
We can’t wait to see our kids learn, grow, and create unforgettable memories throughout the summer.

What an exciting and productive week at Kids Club!

🎉 Participating in the Culture and Environmental Fair
This week, our Kids Club proudly joined the Culture and Environmental Fair, where we had the opportunity to showcase our programs and connect with families in the community. We promoted our Kids Club activities, upcoming Summer Camp, and our new English classes offered at the secundaria. It was wonderful to see so much interest and support for children’s education and development.

🎤 A Visit from President Héctor Santana
We were honored to receive a visit from President Héctor Santana, who shared inspiring and motivational words with our community. His message encouraged our children and families to continue pursuing education, personal growth, and community involvement.

📚 Our First Official English Course Begins!
A major milestone was reached this week as our students began their very first official English course. The children are starting at the A1 Beginner Level, where they will build a strong foundation in English through engaging lessons, games, and interactive activities.
Teachers Abraham and Mayra will be guiding our students throughout this exciting learning journey, making the process both enjoyable and effective. We are thrilled to provide our children with this valuable opportunity to develop a skill that will benefit them for years to come.

🎶 A Successful Concert at Biblioteca Los Mangos
One of the highlights of the week was our special concert at Biblioteca Los Mangos. Our children took the stage with confidence, enthusiasm, and joy, showcasing the skills they have been developing through music.
The concert was a tremendous success, and we could not be prouder of our young performers. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to express themselves, build confidence, and share their talents with family, friends, and members of the community. Our art classes have been filled with creativity and imagination!
This week, the children created incredible clay pieces with Teacher Alejandra. From imaginative sculptures to detailed creations, each project reflected the unique personality and artistic vision of its creator. Working with clay helped students strengthen their fine motor skills while encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
The artistic fun continued as the children explored textile art by creating beautiful yarn projects. Excitement is filling our Kids Club as we prepare for one of the most special moments of the year — our very first concert of 2026!

Our talented choir members Luisa, Isabella, Gilberto, Liam, Tess, and Matías have been working incredibly hard and are feeling excited and ready to perform on May 30th at Biblioteca Los Mangos in Puerto Vallarta. Under the guidance and encouragement of their music instructors, the children have been practicing with dedication and enthusiasm, building confidence while discovering the joy of music and performance. We are so proud of their commitment and cannot wait to see them shine on stage.

In Teacher Alejandra’s class, creativity and learning came together beautifully as the children made their own rainsticks while also exploring geometrical figures. Through this hands-on activity, the students not only expressed their artistic abilities but also strengthened their understanding of shapes, patterns, and sound in a fun and interactive way.

Meanwhile, in Teacher Mayra’s English class, the children continued working on action verbs, an activity that has truly encouraged them to expand their English vocabulary and feel more confident using new words in everyday conversations. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm for learning grow with each lesson.

We would also like to remind all families that registration is now open for our annual Kids Club Summer Camp! This year’s exciting theme is “Circus,” and we are preparing an unforgettable summer full of creativity, fun, and learning.

Children will enjoy a variety of exciting activities including:

Nuestros talentosos integrantes del coro, Luisa, Isabella, Gilberto, Liam, Tess y Matías, han estado trabajando arduamente y se sienten muy emocionados y listos para presentarse este próximo 30 de mayo en la Biblioteca Los Mangos en Puerto Vallarta. Bajo la guía y motivación de sus maestros de música, los niños han practicado con dedicación y entusiasmo, fortaleciendo su confianza mientras descubren la alegría de la música y la expresión artística. ♻️ Creative Engineering with Teacher Alejandra
This week, Teacher Alejandra guided the children through a hands-on and eco-friendly project: creating a recycled foosball table!
Using repurposed materials, the kids explored creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while building their very own tabletop game. Not only was it a fun engineering challenge, but it also helped reinforce the importance of sustainability and caring for our environment. The excitement on their faces as they tested their finished creation was priceless!

📚 English Storytelling with Teacher Mayra
In English class, Teacher Mayra worked on storytelling activities that encouraged both listening skills and vocabulary recognition.
The children had the opportunity to:

Amigos de La Cruz is proud to announce that seven students from the La Cruz area were selected for scholarships through Wolverines Academy, earning 7 of the 10 scholarship positions awarded this year.

The selected scholars are:

-Vivian Adilenne Salazar De Hara-from La Cruz-attending UTTB, accounting

-Alondra Fabiola Jara Legaspe-Aguascalientes-Cultural Management (recommended by Fiona Foster Franco, La Cruz)

-Perla Berenice Aldana Meza-UTTB, physical therapy and rehabilitation

-Ailed Rebecca Godoy Ramos-ICEP, accounting

-Angel Emmanuel Barreto Moreno-CUC, Sports Culture

-Guillermo Gael Grjalva Hernández-CUC, Graphic Communications

These remarkable young men and women were recommended by Amigos de La Cruz and selected by Wolverines Academy for their academic achievement, personal resilience, and the strong potential they demonstrate to build meaningful lives and give back to their communities.

Beginning this August, each student will receive a monthly scholarship of 2,000 pesos to help remove financial barriers and allow them to focus on their education. The scholarship automatically renews each semester through graduation and continues for three additional months afterward to help support the transition into professional careers.

At Wolverines Academy, the mission goes far beyond paying tuition. The organization is committed to investing in people, opportunity, and long-term success.

🎨 Art Class with Teacher Alejandra
In art class, Teacher Alejandra has been guiding students through hands-on creative experiences using clay and exploring rusting painting techniques. Working with clay has allowed the children to shape, mold, and bring their ideas to life while strengthening their fine motor skills and imagination. The rusting painting project introduced them to texture, natural reactions, and unique artistic effects — a beautiful blend of science and art that sparked curiosity and creativity.

🎶 Music & Choir with Teacher Abraham and Aquiles
In music class, Teacher Abraham and Aquiles are challenging the students with a truly special piece: “Vois sur ton chemin,” the beautiful French song from the film Les Choristes. Learning a song in French has been both exciting and enriching, helping the children expand their language skills while developing vocal technique, harmony, and confidence.
The choir is working diligently as they prepare for their first concert of the year on May 30th at Biblioteca Los Mangos. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and cannot wait to see them shine on stage!

With Teacher Mayra, our students are making wonderful progress in English. They are mastering possessive pronouns and building the confidence to begin basic conversations in English. En la clase de arte, la maestra Alejandra ha estado guiando a los estudiantes a través de experiencias creativas prácticas utilizando arcilla y explorando técnicas de pintura con oxidación. Trabajar con arcilla ha permitido a los niños moldear, dar forma y llevar sus ideas a la realidad, fortaleciendo al mismo tiempo su motricidad fina y su imaginación. El proyecto de pintura con oxidación les permitió descubrir texturas, reacciones naturales y efectos artísticos únicos — una hermosa combinación de ciencia y arte que despertó su curiosidad y creatividad.

🎶 Música y Coro con el Maestro Abraham y Aquiles
En la clase de música, el maestro Abraham y Aquiles están retando a los estudiantes con una pieza verdaderamente especial: “Vois sur ton chemin”, la hermosa canción francesa de la película Les Choristes. Aprender una canción en francés ha sido una experiencia emocionante y enriquecedora, ayudando a los niños a ampliar sus habilidades lingüísticas mientras desarrollan técnica vocal, armonía y confianza.
El coro está trabajando con gran dedicación mientras se prepara para su primer concierto del año el 30 de mayo en Biblioteca Los Mangos. ¡Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de su esfuerzo y no podemos esperar a verlos brillar en el escenario!

📚 Clase de Inglés con la Maestra Mayra
Con la maestra Mayra, nuestros estudiantes están logrando un progreso maravilloso en inglés. Están dominando los pronombres posesivos y desarrollando la confianza necesaria para comenzar conversaciones básicas en inglés. A través de actividades interactivas, ejercicios de conversación y aprendizaje dinámico, los niños fortalecen sus habilidades de comunicación paso a paso.
Cada semana en Kids Club vemos crecimiento — en creatividad, confianza, trabajo en equipo y alegría.
