Hey everyone the TJC Native American course will be moved to TJC West Campus in Tyler Texas Same day and time in September just a different room and campus . This is so we will not have to issue parking passes . Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Emails should be sent out to you about the change . Many blessings 🪶

​Get ready for an incredible semester exploring the deep roots, histories, and living cultures of Indigenous peoples in Texas. We are thrilled to announce our opening lineup for September!
​🗓️ September Course Overview: Week 1
​Topic: Caddo History & Paleo-Native Roots — A deep-dive into Caddo history in East Texas, regional origins, and Paleo-native roots.
​Special Guest Speaker: Mrs. Diana Parton (Caddo Nation / Euchee Tribe)
​Mrs. Parton brings a wealth of experience spanning tribal government, Native education, archival research, and cultural preservation. As a citizen of the Caddo Nation (Wolf Clan of the Hanai Band of the Hasinai Confederacy) and a daughter of the Euchee Tribe (Deer Clan of the North Arbor of Polecat Grounds), her work emphasizes that Caddo culture is a living tradition carried forward through land, family, language, and community. She is also featured prominently in the 2026 PBS documentary Caddo Voices: A Pottery Revival.
