MÉXICO-CANADA CULTURAL EXCHANGE.
First cultural exchange between Mexico and Canada in Ajijic, Chapala. Jalisco.
This coming month of February 2024 in the main plaza in Ajijic we will be able to meet wood carvers from the island of Vancouver who will be working to create pieces of art starting from wooden logs all the way until they finish with fine pieces of art. This first event will be accompanied by artistic performances such as concerts, opera, folkloric ballet, mariachi and much more. The inauguration of this Cultural Festival will happen on Monday February the 19th at 4:00 pm. Cultural performance activities to be announced from Monday 19th to Friday the 23th.
Through the years that I have been visiting Vancouver and Vancouver Island I have been lucky to meet amazing wood carvers and artists whose work has inspired me to take the responsibility of bringing them to our town here in Ajijic. The group of artists who are visiting us are looking forward to also learn from our, people, culture and art.
Join us in this first week of culture, music, dancing and camaraderie among artists.
Local artists are also being invited to join this event where with a donation of $1000 pesos per space will have the right to exhibit and sale their work through the whole week.
Thanks for joining our efforts in promoting art and culture in our beloved Ajijic.
