Big news from the weekend! 🎨✨ Let’s celebrate a massive milestone for TeeMlinga Arts!

On Saturday, the talented Tee Mlinga officially opened the doors to her brand-new art gallery in Zomba! 🚪🎉

Tee Mlinga’s journey is an inspiring story of hard work meeting opportunity. As an alumnus of the Sula Professional Development Training (Cohort 2) and the Sula Business Incubation Programme (Cohort 2)—generously funded by the Sound Connects Fund—she has consistently pushed boundaries. After winning seed funding in 2023, she has used those tools to successfully expand and manage her business.

This beautiful new gallery is proof of what happens when dedication meets the right business support! Sula Project Lead Catherine Makhumula was right there on Saturday to cheer on and celebrate this incredible Sula artist.

Building the future of Malawi’s creative economy starts with equipping the next generation of storytellers and innovators with solid entrepreneurial skills. For the past few days, Sula has been hosting hands-on business incubation sessions for undergraduate students from the School of Arts, Communication and Design at the University of Malawi. Through practical sessions, they are focusing on business Ideation & Concept Refinement, creating a Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Structuring Sustainable Creative Enterprises. The goal is to promote Malawi’s creative and cultural industries through building sustainable creative enterprises.
