Regardless of what people may think of him, one thing remains clear: Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is often among the first to step forward when Malawians face challenges.

His decision to provide 10 buses to assist Malawians wishing to return from South Africa is another example of standing with his people in difficult times.

Such acts of solidarity deserve recognition.

Benedicto Bena Nkhoma- Inspirational and Motivational Really??

BENEDICTO NKHOMA POSTED THIS QUESTION

"You are 25 years old and receive K1 billion today.

What is the first thing you do with it?"

MY VIEWS

Ase if your mission is to inspire people, why ask them what they would do with K1 billion they have magically received instead of asking them how they would earn their first K1 million?

A motivational speaker is supposed to bridge the gap between dreams and reality. But when the conversation begins with imaginary billions, are we motivating people or entertaining their fantasies? Simukutithandiza.

People in Malawi are battling unemployment, limited opportunities, and economic hardship.

They do not need lessons in spending money they do not have. They need lessons in creating value, building skills, starting businesses, solving problems, and generating wealth.

The easiest thing in the world is to imagine receiving K1 billion. The hardest thing is to explain the process of creating wealth from nothing.

As an inspiration speaker, should you not be asking: "What skill can earn you your first K100,000?"What problem can you solve in your community?"
"What business can you start with the little you already have?"

Those questions may not go viral as quickly, but they have the power to change lives.

Motivation becomes dangerous when it sells the destination without discussing the journey. It creates dreamers who can describe their future mansions in detail but can not explain the first step toward building them.

The role of an inspirational leader is not to help people escape reality for a few minutes. It is to help them confront reality and win.

Because success is not found in imaginary billions. Success is found in the daily discipline that turns a dream into reality.

STOP USING CHILIMA ’s NAME FOR POLITICAL GAIN!

The more I think about it, the more I become convinced that the push to keep Saulos Chilima's name constantly in the spotlight is not just about honouring his memory.

UTM and Madam Chilima knows very well that Chilima remains its biggest political brand. The day Malawians stop talking about him is the day the party risks losing one of its strongest sources of public attention and sympathy. That is why his name must remain visible at all costs.

This is also why I question the push for a special day in his honour.

Think about it. A special day is not just a tribute. It guarantees that every year the nation will pause, the media will focus on him, social media will discuss him and politicians will speak about him. It turns memory into a permanent national event. In other words, it keeps his political legacy alive indefinitely.

There is nothing wrong with remembering the dead. The problem comes when remembrance becomes a political strategy.

Great leaders should be remembered because of their impact, not because political actors continuously market their names. If a legacy is truly powerful, it will survive on its own.

To me, the real question is not whether Chilima should be remembered. Of course he should. The real question is: who benefits most from the constant promotion of his name?

History teaches us that some people honour a legacy, while others use a legacy.

Malawians must be wise enough to tell the difference.
