Small roots. Big future. 🌱

Every movement begins with a single step. Every impact starts small.
Real change grows from the ground up.

Through small actions, planting, protecting, preserving, we build a more sustainable future for Mulanje and beyond.
From community efforts to cultural movements, what we plant today shapes tomorrow.

At Mulanje Peaks & Rhythms Festival, we believe in growing something bigger for our people, our culture, and our environment. 🏔️🌍

Let’s grow responsibly. Let’s protect what matters. 🌿

Today, 03 March, we honor the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Malawi’s freedom.

Martyrs Day is a moment of remembrance, a time to reflect on courage, resilience, and the cost of independence. Their bravery shaped the nation we proudly call home.

As we celebrate culture, unity, and community through platforms like Mulanje Peaks & Rhythms, we do so standing on the foundation built by those who came before us.

We remember. We honor. We continue. 🇲🇼

Today, we remember John Chilembwe, a symbol of courage, resistance, and the fight for justice.

His legacy reminds us that freedom is built by those bold enough to stand for dignity, equality, and truth.

On Chilembwe Day, we honor a man whose courage ignited a movement and helped shape Malawi’s journey.

May his legacy continue to inspire youth to stand for justice, identity, and positive change. 🇲🇼✊🏾✨

🌍🏔️ International Mountain Day, Celebrating Mulanje, Our World Heritage Giant

Mulanje is more than a mountain,
it is a living system, a keeper of stories, a guardian of culture,
and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It shapes our climate.
Feeds our rivers.
Protects biodiversity.
Inspires our youth.
Anchors our identity.

But it is also vulnerable.
From deforestation to climate threats, the signs are clear:
our mountain needs us now more than ever.

At Mulanje Peaks & Rhythms Festival, we work around this landscape, feeling its beauty, understanding its pressure, and celebrating its power through culture, youth innovation, music, and community engagement.

Today, on International Mountain Day, we honor:
📌The communities who call Mulanje home
📌The elders and storytellers who keep its heritage alive
📌The guides, porters, artists, and youth who carry its spirit
📌 And everyone fighting to protect this mountain for generations to come

Mulanje is not just a mountain. It’s a rhythm.
Mulanje moves us. Mulanje inspires us. Mulanje unites us.

May we continue to climb, create, conserve, and celebrate this legacy today and every day. 🌍✨

Porters Race 2025: The Heartbeat of Mulanje 🏃🏾‍♂️🔥

This year’s Porters Race was all vibes and victory on the slopes of Mulanje! From local champs like Anthony Matias and Doris Fisher, to international runners and first-timers, the mountain was alive with power, pride, and purpose.

A true test of strength and spirit, this legendary race continues to celebrate resilience, heritage, and the breathtaking beauty of Mulanje Mountain, now officially a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We pulled up to show love, support the movement, and soak in the energy of this iconic event. Big ups to the runners, the community, the sponsors, and the vibe creators who made it all happen. 🙌🏾⛰️

Mulanje isn’t just a mountain. It’s a rhythm.
And this race? Pure energy.

We’re carrying that same fire into September for the Mulanje Peaks and Rhythms Festival, where the mountain meets music, movement, and meaning. 🎶🌍

🌍✨ HISTORIC MILESTONE FOR MALAWI!

After 25 years of anticipation, Mulanje Mountain, the Island in the Sky, has officially been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, becoming Malawi’s third after Lake Malawi National Park and Chongoni Rock Art.

This recognition goes beyond symbolism, it’s a powerful celebration of our natural heritage, cultural identity, and the tireless efforts of all who protect and honor this sacred mountain.

🏔️ Home to Sapitwa, the highest peak in Central Southern Africa
🌱 A symbol of resilience, biodiversity, and indigenous pride
🧭 A beacon for eco-tourism, sustainable adventure, and global recognition

At Mulanje Peaks & Rhythms Festival, we are proud to stand as one of the platforms that uplifts this living treasure through music, culture, youth innovation, and environmental action.

for inspiring generations, and to everyone who fought for this moment, may we continue to honor and protect it for those yet to climb.
