MADSOC THEATRE is a venue managed by Mwezi Arts presenting live theatre, dance, Poetry, story telling and music performances, workshops, forums, conferences and other events. Established by the Music And Drama SOCiety (MADSOC) in 1961, it is located in Malawi's capital Lilongwe in Area 2 (see address or Map). The venue has facilities that include - 150 capacity Theater, 100 capacity Foyer, Externa
l stage provision (1000 capacity), Cash bar, box office and internal secure car park. Mwezi Arts initiates all the programming and bookings for the venue with a range of live performances by different art companies & internal events series such as "Poets Psyche", "Mix and Mingle", "The Voice", "Natures Notes", "Teen Stage", "Couples Moment" presented in quarterly (3 months) seasons. A variety of projects are underway at MADSOC and these include "The Artistic Library", "Teen Arts Club", "Dzukani Music Club" and "Lilongwe Ballet". With an intimate environment, latest sound and lighting technology equipment and an experienced team and crew, MADSOC has less limits in presenting professional standard events and performances.
