VISUALIZING :This is a painting created on chitenje surface as canvas (African fabric)in combination of some fabric scraps and acrylic paint in astile called mixed media. I was inspired to create this painting only show viewers on how sometimes you can see good and beautiful things your future is holding for you through meditating. The painting is showing a tender face of modern black young lady who has shut eyes and intelokings of some beautiful flowers and fabric scraps symbolizing beautiful ang good things the lady is emotionally able to see.

Courage - fearless and strong. Here is a chitenje mix media painting. I used chitenje fabric scraps collected from tailors in Lilongwe city on chitenje surface in combination with acraylic paints. The painting expresses the courageous fearless and strength of awoman to change gender based violence women faces in african communities at work places, in community projects, as well as at family level. I created this artwork to inspire women to be courageous, fearless, and strong enough to deal and end gender based vilonce hence create better women environment and promote gender equality.

“Hope persist”

In Malawi, as in many other countries, you find orphan kids on the street who struggle to make ends meet. They are often left to themselves in a hopeless life. They are in need of food, clothes, shelter, education, and a safe environment.

Some of these kids grow up and turn to violence, robbery, or drug abuse. Others manage to keep the hope alive by trusting that one day their life will change.

This African street kid is struggling, but he still has hope.
