I would like to wish you happy holidays. Thank God he has taken us this far, 2022 has been so amazing but I am very confident that 2023 would be so great a number of activities lined up and together we will improve greatly through these activities. One thing to remember humble begining will usher us into greatness. May God almighty help us to accomplish our goals in 2023.

Intervals part 1
Let's look at
1. Half step interval is from a key note to another key without pass over any key in between example from C to C #

2. Whole step interval is from a key note to another key pass over a key in between for example from C to D is a whole step skipped C #

FUNDAMENTAL OF MUSICAL SOUND

1. Tonal relationship: not all musical sounds have the same tone. Musical sounds are arranged in a sequence or pitch order. This pitch order is called scales. The arrangement of musical sounds into scale and keys is known as tonal relationship. Tonal relationship helps us to compare musical sounds.

2. Harmony: harmony is the combination of notes or pitches in music. There are five parts to a chorister’s voice. They include the soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass. The beauty of music depends on the mix of voice parts. Harmony makes the sounds of music beautiful through the blend of the voice parts.

3. Texture: is the way the elements of melody, rhythm, pitch and harmonic materials are combined in a composition. It may be described as the total effect or impression we receive from a piece of music.

4. Form or structure: the term musical form or structure is the overall plan of a piece of music. There are times music is divided into sections of two, three or four depending on the length of the music. These section maybe called stanzas or verses.

piano Keyboard Lessons

Learn the black key names
The Black keys are called Sharp/flat. They are enharmonic because they bear 2 names but produces 1 sound

Flats
Black keys to the left of white keys are flats. From C (starred above) down an octave these are Bb, Ab, Gb, Eb and Db.

Sharps
Any black key to the right of a white key is a sharp. From Middle C up an octave these are C #, D #, F #, G # and A #.

White keys
If you need help, remember the three white keys around the two black keys are C, D and E, while the other four are F, G, A and B.

Let's continue with another lesson today.
I hope you are getting it and you are able to do yesterday's lesson.
What we see on the piano are buttons in black and white, they are called notes or keys
We 12 of them. You may recall from yesterday we had something like this but now I have put numbers under each letter
C-C #-D-D #-E-F-F #-G-G #-A-A #-B-C
1- 2- 3- 4- 5- 6-7-8-9-10-11-12
These are keys of which a singer can be singing at one given time. By this far we have numbered our notes. Now is your turn to practice this do it ascending and descending and you will love it.

Let's continue from where we stopped.
From set of 2black buttons we have a white note at the left which is called C then the next black button is called C # the next white button which is between 2black keys is called D and next we have black button which is called D # then next is a white button now we call it E next is also a white button which is called F then the next black key G next black G # next white button A next black button A # next white button B then back to a white C so in short it should look like this
C-C #-D-D #-E-F-F #-G-G #-A-A #-B-C
I will make a video for this it's simpler that way
Now we have named the notes(buttons)on the piano from left to right but now let's name them from right to left
C-B-Bb-A-Ab-G-Gb-F-E-Eb-D-Db-C
Practice this naming the notes for both ways from left to right and from right to left

Hello all my followers.
As we are in the Christmas mood let me post something regarding learning playing piano.
At the piano we have white and black buttons which are called keys.
For a beginner all you have to know is the laying of the keys.
They are in a pattern, you will notice many keyboards have a white key then a black key a white key a black key then a white and so on.
In short you 2 black keys,3black keys like that through out the piano.
