Biography of Elder Phantom - Musician and Producer
Elder Phantom (Born Hopeson Phiri), a talented musician and accomplished music producer, has left an indelible mark on the music industry with his exceptional musical prowess and innovation in music production.
Born on December 21st .... in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota Malawi, Phantom showed an early affinity for music. Being a professional engineer, holding a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Malawi University of Business And Sciences [MUBAS] , Elder Phantom has been recording Music as a Hobby. He began his musical journey at a young age, and it quickly became apparent that he possessed an extraordinary talent for creating and performing music.
As commonly in the dance hall culture, in 2014 he founded a music group known as BORNSTA EMPIRE which was later rebranded to BORNSTAR MUSIC GROUP[BMG] in 2022. BORNSTAR MUSIC GROUP in-houses artist like ; Prekam265 , Typan , J Phantom , Sirprize265 , Di-Damo and Elder Phantom himself from which Songs like Usachotse", Dwangwa Anthem, .... were made.
Elder Phantom gained recognition for his extraordinary musical abilities and unique Dancehall style.His captivating melodies and emotive lyrics struck a chord with listeners, making him a prominent figure in the music world. The late Mafunyeta, Mavado and Vybz kartel have been his motivation in the dancehall genre.
Recognizing the importance of music production, Elder Phantom delved into the world of music production, creating Bornstar Studios. He developed a keen understanding of the production process, enabling him to craft his music with finesse and precision.
Leading Bornstar Music Group and running a studio, gave Elder Phantom the idea of growing into a record lebel, managing artists, as a full music production company.
Over the years, Elder Phantom has accumulated an impressive list of projects which bore a great catalogue of his music career. Among his hit songs that have touched the hearts of countless fans worldwide; 'king fi di dancehall', 'love you', 'Pon di top', 'Yakupokopoko', 'Jaguar', 'Elevate' Usachotse and Dwangwa Anthem (just to mention a few) are some of the songs that have been and still are enjoying an abusive airplay on both local and National radios and Televisions.
