Innalillah wa inna ilaihi rajiun!!

We join fellow Muslims and the entire Malawians in mourning our dear brother, Hon. Jaffar M***a, who until his passing served as the Member of Parliament for Machinga Mikoko.

We remember Hon. M***a as a dedicated leader and a committed supporter of community initiatives. He was very instrumental in mobilising financial support towards the Muslim Awards 2025, demonstrating his belief in recognising excellence, service, and positive impact within our society.

His contribution, guidance, and support will not be forgotten. May Allah grant him mercy, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

Today we celebrate a man who works quietly behind the scenes but carries the whole team on his shoulders — Sammy Onessi Kachepa
our Muslim Awards Welfare Manager and Secretary… better known in comedy circles as Katete.

While others enjoy the spotlight, Sammy is the one making sure the bus has fuel, everyone has a seat, food is served on time, beds are ready, and no one is left stranded. If you travel, he planned it. If you ate, he arranged it. If you slept comfortably, he sorted it. If you fell sick, he was already checking on you.

That’s not just administration — that’s heart. That’s care. That’s leadership through service.

And somehow, in between all that responsibility, he still finds time to make us laugh like Katete 😂

Today 46 years ago you were born, Sammy! May Allah reward you for every small and big act of kindness you do for others — the ones we see and the many we don’t. May your new year be filled with good health, barakah, and endless joy.

Today, we celebrate you the way you always celebrate everyone else. 🎉🤲🏽

Birthday wishes basi to big bro

Today we proudly celebrate Sheriff Kaunde, the Managing Director of Liberty Immigration Services (UK) — a visionary leader, a dedicated professional, and a strong supporter of community causes.

A man of excellence… even if his football choices remain questionable as a loyal (and long-suffering) Manchester United fan!! Back home, he supports a team that can be clobbered by a small team from the north playing with only 8 players on the pitch!! What a miss! Swabri is part of the game isn't it?😂😂

From all of us at Muslim Awards, we wish you a very happy birthday, good health, continued success, and many more years of impact and leadership In Sha Allah.

May the year ahead bring you victories in business — and maybe a few on the pitch too! 🎉

Some leaders are respected.
Others are loved.

Honourable Aisha Adams, MP, is both.

Since the inception of the Muslim Awards, Hon. Aisha has been a constant pillar—offering moral guidance, technical insight, and unwavering mobilisation in support of this noble initiative. Her belief in the Awards has never been seasonal or conditional; it has been consistent and sincere.

Widely known for her flexibility, humility, and warm spirit, Hon. Aisha is truly a darling to many. Her ability to connect effortlessly with people from all walks of life has made her not just a leader, but a trusted ally and friend to the Muslim community and beyond.

Beyond her personal contribution, she has continuously mobilised fellow Muslim Members of Parliament, year in, year out to support the Muslim Awards financially and materially—strengthening the Awards as a credible national platform.

What makes her commitment even more remarkable is her sacrifice. Year after year, she travels from Lilongwe to Blantyre to attend the event in person—choosing presence over convenience, and participation over formality.

She does not tire!

She does not withdraw!

She does not seek applause!

Yet her impact speaks loudly!

As the Muslim Awards family, we celebrate and appreciate Hon. Aisha Mambo Adams; ACHAKONGWE, for her consistency, compassion, leadership, and love for the cause.

May Allah reward her abundantly.
May her kindness return to her in multiple folds.

And may she know that the Muslim Awards are stronger because of her.

Today, we celebrate Jali Yusuf Mludi and his wife Khady Jah Majaja our Premium Patrons, whose steadfast presence has been a blessing to the Muslim Awards since the very beginning.

Year after year, without fail, they join us on VIP tickets, showing that true support is about commitment, loyalty, and belief in the impact of the platform. Their consistency, encouragement, and visible support have inspired both the organisers and the audience alike.

From the inception of the Muslim Awards, their presence has been a reminder that champions of community and creativity stand firm, no matter the challenges.

They embody the spirit of giving, celebration, and encouragement that defines this initiative.

We are deeply grateful for your loyalty, your enthusiasm, and your continued support.

Some people don’t just show up; they hold the vision together.

Today, we proudly appreciate Mimie James Mwalwenje, “ ”

Mimie is the only female member of the Muslim Awards Team, and her presence has been both powerful and purposeful. She joined the team as a Co-Host of the Muslim Awards, a role she executed with confidence, grace, and professionalism for two consecutive years.

Beyond the spotlight, Mimie has been an integral pillar behind the scenes — offering unwavering moral support, financial support, encouragement, and belief in the vision of the Muslim Awards.

She is also the Director of House of Haya, a Malawian luxury and modest fashion brand based in Blantyre, specialising in abayas, jilbabs, and accessories.

Through House of Haya, Mimie continues to redefine modest fashion while empowering women and promoting dignity, identity, and excellence.

In every space she occupies, Mimie represents Muslim women with strength, integrity, and authenticity. Her contribution reminds us that leadership is not always loud — sometimes it is quiet, consistent, and deeply impactful.

Thank you, Mimie, for standing with the Muslim Awards.

Thank you for believing in the dream.

Thank you for being That Muslim Girl who shows up for the Ummah and for Malawi.

We see you. We value you. We appreciate you.

Some partners support an event; others become part of its backbone.

Today, we sincerely appreciate Tonderai Jai Banda, whose support through Entertainers Promotions has been instrumental to the success of the Muslim Awards.

In 2024, Tonderai Banda, under Entertainers Promotions, made a cash donation that helped strengthen the foundation of the Awards. In 2025, his support went even further — providing the stage, sound system, big screens, and other critical technical elements that defined the look, sound, and overall experience of the event.

These contributions did more than support logistics; they elevated the professional standard, visibility, and credibility of the Muslim Awards. From what the audience saw on the big screens to what they heard through the sound system, his impact was felt at every level.

True support is not occasional — it is consistent, reliable, and selfless. Through Entertainers Promotions, Tonderai Jai Banda has demonstrated belief in the vision, commitment to excellence, and dedication to building platforms that celebrate impact, creativity, and community.

We are deeply grateful for your partnership, your generosity, and your continued presence in the journey of the Muslim Awards.

Thank you for standing with the vision.
Thank you for strengthening the platform.
Thank you for being part of the story.

Some leaders carry titles; others carry purpose, knowledge, and faith.

Today, we honour and deeply appreciate Justice Jabbar Alide, the Patron of the Muslim Awards — a man whose leadership is rooted not only in the law, but also in Islamic scholarship, values, and service.

Justice Jabbar Alide is a Judge of the High Court of Malawi, Commercial Division, where he continues to serve with distinction, integrity, and intellectual depth. Beyond the courtroom, he is an Islamic scholar, shaped by some of Malawi’s most respected Islamic institutions. He studied at Namanolo Islamic Centre and Blantyre Islamic Mission, two of the country’s finest centres of Islamic learning.

These foundations are reflected in his character — calm, principled, and deeply committed to justice. They inform his belief that faith, ethics, and public service must walk together.

As Patron of the Muslim Awards, Justice Alide has been a custodian of credibility, balance, and moral leadership. His guidance has helped shape the Awards into a platform that celebrates impact, service, and influence, rather than mere popularity or position.

In a time when leadership is often tested, his presence reminds us that justice anchored in values strengthens not only institutions, but society as a whole.

We are grateful for his patronage, his scholarship, and his unwavering belief in recognising excellence grounded in integrity.

Thank you, Justice Jabbar Alide, for standing as a pillar of justice, faith, and inspiration.
Your impact is profound. Your legacy endures.
