He spent 18 years in finance. Then he chose art. Meet inshō, a Mauritian contemporary artist whose work explores the relationship between humanity, nature and identity.

Opening on 28 August at the Caudan Arts Centre, Ithemba Elisha, meaning “A New Hope” in Zulu, draws inspiration from Milton’s Paradise Lost to question our relationship with the natural world, the consequences of our choices, and our capacity to imagine a different future.

When Kathak meets the magic of Indian cinema… On 29 and 30 August, the Caudan Arts Centre welcomes Kathak Ki Kahaani, Bollywood Ki Zubaani, a performance bringing together the tradition of Indian classical dance and the world of Bollywood.

Conceptualised and directed by Arpita Banerjee, the show takes audiences on a journey through time, where movement, music and storytelling trace the evolution of Kathak and its connection to Indian cinema.
