Fresh off the wheel and now entering one of the quietest, most important stages of the process — slow drying.

These pieces are resting upside down under careful conditions so the moisture leaves evenly and the clay can settle without stress or cracking.
Every day changes them a little: the color lightens, the walls firm up, and the forms become ready for the next step.

Soon, each one will have its handle attached before continuing toward trimming, bisque, glaze, and fire. For now, it’s all about patience, timing, and letting the clay move at its own pace.

The in-between stages are where pottery teaches you the most. 🤍✨
