In a world where trends and social media are flooding with dances that are quick to reproduce and quick to forget, let's take this day to remember where dance truly comes from; the heart. There are no need for cameras, for validation from strangers, or from anyone else. Dance is truly for everyone, if you allow it into your life. Let this video of our students inspire you to dance a little bit today, in your garden, in your shower, in your kitchen.
Because dance is not just technique, nor is it just cool. It's a way of communication and connection. What we cannot say with our mouths, we speak with our bodies, and sometimes when we're so overwhelmed by all the issues in the world around us, let us take this moment to remember that somewhere, somehow, humanity still exists through dance.
To our teachers; who are the superheroes that keep this little family going; you are the true stars, the ones that keep the boat afloat, the ones that despite everything that may happen in life, show up to lead, to love, and to welcome every happy face that comes your way. Your dedication, commitment and big heart does not go unnoticed by your students. You are loved and you are amazing.
And to our students, we might be the ones you listen to in class. We might be the ones that teach you every week. But you are the ones that inspire us, each and every day, to show up no matter how tired, how broken-hearted, or how exhausted we are with life.
