Lonely Planet came out with its ‘Best in Travel 2022’ guide book which gives an overview of the World’s must-visit countries, cities and regions for the upcoming year. In an article published by CNN on 1 November 2021, the news outlet reports that Mauritius has been ranked 3rd in Lonely Planet’s list of best destinations for 2022. Citing the country as being an ‘underrated African getaway’, CNN further points out the fine things the country has to offer, anchored in its splendid attractions and sight-seeing destinations.

As we near the release of the romantic comedy that Alicia Keys and Steven Tsuchida teamed up for, Bustle – prominent online women's magazine – gives an exclusive sneak peak of the movie. 'Resort to Love' was filmed in its entirety in Mauritius and follows the life of Erica (Christina Millan), an aspiring singer who is performing a gig at the resort where her ex-fiancé Jason (Jay Pharoah) is getting married. What ensues is the storytelling of a complicated and hysterical love triangle amidst a breathtaking local décor.

'Resort to Love' also featured in the Netflix Summer Movie Preview, where the official release date was announced - get your popcorn ready because the movie will air on the global platform on July 29 2021!

Kunal Kohli, Indian filmmaker, predominantly known for his coming-of-age ventures like Hum Tum (2004) and Fanaa (2006), has finally brought his much–anticipated revamped rendition of the timeless Ramayana to the screen. The series titled ‘Ramyug’ - set to release digitally on the MXPlayer platform on 6th May 2021 - promises a never seen before visual interpretation of this ancient text.

Indeed, the series not only boasts the use of latest technologies to breathe life into the story, but also a striking filming landscape - courtesy of the beautiful forests in Mauritius. This Bollywood project was produced locally under the Film Rebate Scheme and saw the contribution of more than 1500 Mauritians.

Featured in l’Express on 16 April 2021 - Sada Rajiah, one of the directors of the Mauritian movie Three Wise Men - Parallel Lives, shares his backstory in an article titled ‘La revanche de Sada Rajiah‘.

From humble beginnings as a taxi driver with a fierce passion for cinematography to the director of an internationally acclaimed movie, the filmmaker evokes his hardships during this out-of-ordinary journey.

While he already has a highly anticipated project (‘SAJ – A man who believed in himself’) in the pipeline, Sada Rajiah is already working on another script themed around a subject dear to his own heart, that of education.

A truly deserved recognition for this incredible feat! Three Wise Men – Parallel Lives has been highly acclaimed internationally since its release, counting multiple selections in prestigious film festivals such as Eurasia International Monthly Film Festival and the LA Sun Film Fest.

This movie, directed by Desire Prevost and Sada Rajiah, is about the evolution of electricity and recounts the story of three men born in different eras and sharing similar paths.

As an association regrouping key members of the Mauritian Film scene - of which Island Film Services is an integral part - MPFM boasts excellence in their craft through cutting-edge research, state-of-the-art logistics and expert-delivered training.

Following the Covid-19 situation, the MPFM has recently communicated the following updates concerning its registration fees:
