Shubh mahashivratri 🙏🔱

Final work for Project Mahadev
-Lord Shiva, well respected by all the hindu gods. He is creation as well as destruction.
-His Trishul represents 3 power, knowledge, desire, implementation.
-The snake represents the ego, which when masted one can wear it.
-The moon symbolizes that Shiva himself is timeless and manster of time.
-On top of the head is Ganga, the holy river that flow passing scriptural teaching and wsidom from one generation to the next.
-The tiger or leopard skin shows that Shiva is fearless.
-The Rudraksha beads signify purity.
-Dumroo, symbolizes the sound that represents the word of the Vedas or holy scriptures given by God to guide us through life.
-Art is not just about creating it is also a therapy and a luxury.
-60 hours of work from 16 Feb to 16 March

Hi guys, i had to put a hold on.y account lately due to so hacker... but now its secured.
Hope you will love my final sculture for my Project: INVISIBLE ENERGY MORPHING THE WORLD.

We are all aware of the hygienic protocol by W.H.O. That of washing our hands frequently to avoid any infections from Covid 19. We can hear about it on television, on social media, in the newspaper and on the radio all around the world. Hence, in this sculpture, there is a representation of planet earth with all the continents with taps and different gestures of how we need to wash our hands. Also, to show how suddenly everyone regardless of gender, age and status need to build a hygienic lifestyle. The sculpture is hanged and a spotlight should have been placed above the globe so that the shadow looks like a virus as it is a reflection of why we are washing our hands regularly.

Moreover, from my perspective, covid-19 is teaching us to create a hygienic lifestyle or to go back to an old but safest lifestyle and to take care of our health for the long run of humanity as it will benefit us and the future generations for a cleaner way of living. This will in turn prevent less infections and sickness among people all over the world.

Title: GAIA HEALING

I believe that the Covid-19 virus helped the earth to heal herself.
Due to excessive human activities, the earth is being destroyed and on the long run earth will be inhabitable. The only way to make a difference is by making every single human being change their habits/lifestyles, which is impossible. Fortunately, with the Covid-19 spreading worldwide, suddenly that task became possible. Almost all human activities were ceased, and nature has finally got a break to breath and heal again. Personally, I believe that it is the act of the divine because it is the only thing that can do such a major change in the world.
Since the early global look down, many positive changes started to take place in the world. For instance, China’s toxic atmosphere has decreased massively, India, known for the worst air polluted country in the world, had an amazing view that appeared in just 12 days after lockdown and so on.
For this sculpture, I tried a contemporary approach to it, I thought of the famous artwork, "The Creation of Adam" by Master Michelangelo. I modified it according to my concept of what is happening around the world in the now. My sculpture, however, is not about creation but, about healing. The two figures, a female figure who is representing Gaia and another figure representing the divine helping her to heal. The female figure was done with natural tree shells, part of her body has a transition from light in her hand to the tree shells which goes down her arm, slowly showing part of her body blossoming, representing the healing process from the divine. Near the ground there are dry leaves showing past human activities that was destroying the earth. The God like figure has an homogenous light effect as the light here represents the divine. Lastly, the small installation of the glowing sphere represents Covid-19 virus as the light that is passing from the Divine to Gaia to heal her.

Title: EXPANDING CONSCIOUSNESS

For this sculpture, I did a more metaphorical approach than a direct one. The sculpture depicts a spider on its web together with the covid-19 virus spread on it. The spider’s gut is in the form of a brain which represents the expansion of human consciousness from the brain, through the world around us which is represented by the web as it also act as an extended consciousness for the spider as well. Additionally, the spider and its web represent the harmony with nature that is slowly manifesting among many people around the world. The presence of the virus in the web represent the reason why we are having a rise in consciousness.

The spider was done with “lacorde coco” to represent nature. The gut brain was done with paper and cloth for a realistic approach to a real brain

Turquoise paint was used as it is known to be a color of awareness or consciousness awakening or a rise in consciousness, and a global thinking level. Finally, glue gun and varnish was be used to give a realistic effect to it. The web was done with bending wires as it nearly resembles a spider’s web in terms of proportion. More to this, the bending wire is very strong which represents the strength of humanity when we work together and in harmony with nature.

-Theme: ALTERATION

-Hope you will love this 1st sculpture from My Project: INVISIBLE ENERGY MORPHING THE WOLRD

-Description: Before the pandemic, many countries such as America, Russia, India, and more, were usually prioritizing the military sector over the healthcare sector. Now is the time to have an alteration in these sector’s priorities.
So, my sculpture shows a snake which represents health and change in this context, breaking through a wall and attacking the virus. The broken wall represents the military(destruction), the snake breaking through and attacking the covid-19 virus represents the healthcare industries being or will be priorities over the military. In turn, this will create better infrastructures and better research, allowing more jobs and better care for a larger number of patients, next-gen technologies for enhancing medical equipment to fight the covid-19 as well as being well prepared for the future in case of another virus outbreak. Also, to be able to cure other diseases that have not yet been cured.

Additionally, bronze is known to be a very difficult and complex process that involves lots of thinking and reflections and such characteristics can be found again during these time in the healthcare sectors. The covid-19 was done with paper to give a certain organic structure to it and for the finish, they will be painted in two colors, red and light yellow. The red color facing the snake will represent how the virus is viewed as an enemy to the healthcare sectors(snake) but at the same time an ally, when it comes to the development and prioritization of this sector(light yellow).

-A project done during the pandemic and my thoughts about it. But, whatever is happening now, is really disappointing as we can clearly see the world did not learn any lesson from this pandemic. It's a shame.

-Theme: Nature's Freedom

-Description: Since the lock down due to covid19 pandemic, nature became free again. With the lack of human activities, nature was expressing herself. We could see this freedom in the animal kingdom, whereby animals started roaming cities. For animals to be able to come to do so, this means they feel safe, at peace and free. Predators have changed how they hunt, and herbivores have more freedom to look for food as there are no tourists disturbing them. When it comes to the aquatic life, they have also experience tremendous freedom as there is neither water pollution nor noise pollution. This means that they can travel longer distances and can communicate with each other without being disturbed by ships.
Thus, in my sculpture, there is the motion of dolphins made from natural materials, breaching the sea, which will be made from man made materials. This represents that during the lock down, nature has broken free from the man-made world. Moreover, when dolphins jump out of the surface of the ocean, there is that feeling that they are flying which relates to freedom.
The dolphins were made from natural materials like branches and fungus from trees and rocks which was found on land, to show the freedom of both land and aquatic animals. The ocean wave and the breaching from the sea were done with chicken wires and then blue plastic added onto it. The fungus on the branches shows nature is free and growing.
