Im happy to finally share my most recent completed commissioned piece! 🥳 This took about 20 days to complete, and I'm really happy with the result. Inspired by the traditional garb of the Congolese Luba peoples of the Bantu ethnic group, this piece incorporates vibrant colours and lots of texture which I achieved with a pallette knife. This is an oil painting on a 90cm² canvas. Included are a few close up texture shots! 🔹️🔸️🔹️

Watercolour trellis 🌾 I had a lovely morning painting this scene outdoors today. Doing the details of the flowers and vines was so calming; I don’t often paint outdoor scenes but I loved this serene corner of the garden! I paid special attention to the application of the highlights and shadows, as well layering colours thinly to create an ethereal, glowy atmosphere. 🥀💫
