✨ Welcome to Emma, our new contemporary dance teacher for this school year !
🇫🇷 “Je me présente, Emma Edwards, danseuse, professeure et chorégraphe. D’origine anglaise, j’ai grandi en France, où j’ai découvert très jeune ma passion pour la danse. Je me suis formée au 115 Studio sous la direction d’Agnès Zazzi, avant de poursuivre mon parcours à The Place, London Contemporary Dance School.
Au cours de mon parcours, j’ai eu la chance de travailler avec différents artistes et chorégraphes, notamment Carl Portal, Sung Im Her, Richard Alston et Stephanie Lake, parmi tant d’autres.
Ma formation s’est développée autour de différentes techniques, notamment le jazz, le Horton, le classique et le contemporain. J’aime allier le travail technique à l’improvisation et à la recherche artistique, afin de développer la créativité et l’expression personnelle.
Je suis très heureuse de commencer cette nouvelle aventure au sein de Le Studio - Dance School, Mauritius, de partager ma passion avec les élèves et de continuer, moi aussi, à apprendre et à évoluer à leurs côtés.”

🇬🇧 “My name is Emma Edwards, I am a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Originally from England, I grew up in France, where I discovered my passion for dance at a very young age. I trained at 115 Studio under the direction of Agnès Zazzi before continuing my studies at The Place London Contemporary Dance School.
Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of artists and choreographers, including Carl Portal, Sung Im Her, Richard Alston and Stephanie Lake, among many others.
My training has encompassed a range of techniques, including jazz, Horton, ballet and contemporary dance. I enjoy combining technical work with improvisation and artistic exploration, encouraging creativity and personal expression.
I am very excited to begin this new adventure at Le Studio Dance School, to share my passion with the students, and to continue learning and growing alongside them.”
