🎶 As part of the festival’s GAULearn educational programme, Gaulitana is once again presenting a series of masterclasses with internationally renowned Maltese soprano Miriam Gauci!

✨ The masterclasses will take place from 17–20 August 2026 at the Gozo Visual & Performing Arts School, Xewkija.

🎼 Sessions will be held in the afternoon and early evening, with individual lesson times arranged flexibly to suit the availability and needs of the selected participants.

🎵 Last Monday, the Gaulitanus Choir animated the Mass at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary in celebration of Mons. Karm Refalo and Fr Victor Vella's 40th anniversary of priesthood. ⛪

🎶 The Gaulitanus Choir participated in the Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria event held at Independence Square, Victoria on June 10th, Jum il-Belt Victoria.

🎼 The choir opened the ceremony with the Innu lil Għawdex and then performed with gusto the grand medley “Discovering Europe Through Traditional Song” – a journey through 9 countries – compiled by the choir’s founder-director, Colin Attard.
The other musical slot in the event featured the Chorus Urbanus.

✨ The occasion was particularly memorable for the Gaulitanus as during the event, its founder-director Mro Colin Attard was bestowed with the Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria award in recognition of his untiring efforts in the cultural field!

𝄞 Lending a voice to music, the 19th edition commences with 𝟜 𝕕𝕒𝕪𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤!
A 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 features the Gaulitanus Choir and the Silesian Chamber Choir Ad Libitum, prior to a 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 and Monday 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 by the Polish ensemble.
On Tuesday’s Public Holiday, a Spanish-themed 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨 wraps the long weekend with Gaulitana.

As part of a delegation organised by the Victoria Local Council, Gaulitanus Choir committee member Miriam Curmi and Gaulitana: A Festival of Music team representative Pierre Louis Attard are presently in Spain, where they are taking part in official events linked to the twinning arrangement between Victoria and Jerez de la Frontera.

Their involvement highlights the ongoing role of the Gaulitanus Choir and Gaulitana: A Festival of Music in strengthening Victoria’s cultural profile and expanding its international connections as a recognised hub of artistic activity.

Gaulitanus Choir committee member Miriam Curmi and Gaulitana: A Festival of Music team member Pierre Louis Attard are representing the organisation as part of a Victoria Local Council delegation currently in Spain to participate in the official programme related to the town twinning initiative between Victoria and Jerez de la Frontera.

Through this participation, the Gaulitanus Choir and Gaulitana: A Festival of Music continue to contribute actively to the cultural development and international outreach of Victoria as a city of culture.

It has become customary for the Gaulitanus Choir to open the musical season for the New Year in the best of ways: a joyful concert on January 1st. Not least this year.
Hats off to the choristers for their performance and especially for their commitment during the peak of the Festive Season!
Thanks to our guest musicians and to our very warm audience which year-in-year-out keeps filling the hall to capacity for our 'A New Year's Toast'.
