A Berklee College of Music graduate, Bourgeyx is known for his expressive playing, rich improvisation, and modern approach to the classic piano trio format. Joined by Darryl Hall on double bass and Gregory Hutchinson on drums, the performance promises warmth, energy, and a deep connection between three outstanding musicians.

🎹 Opening Concert: Dominic Galea Quartet – A Tribute to Maltese Jazz Composers

Join us for the opening concert of the Malta Jazz Festival 2026 as pianist Dominic Galea leads a special tribute celebrating a golden era in Maltese jazz history.

The programme revisits works from the late 1960s to early 1980s by iconic Maltese composers including Charles Camilleri, Ray Agius, Antoine Bonnici Soler, Lino Cauchi, Paul Abela, and Sammy Galea, while also honouring the legacy of Charles “City” Gatt and featuring original compositions by Galea himself.
