Malta International Food Festival Malta International Food Festival is a celebration of international food on Aug 5–9, 2026, Granaries. Same place, different tastes. The way it works is easy.

The Malta International Food Festival is a street food festival with a focus on inclusivity, hosting a culinary of delicacies from all over the world during Malta's most popular food festival. Taste the authentic Asian cuisines, the fresh Mediterranean delights, best of Europe and genuine Gozitan delicacies. Your perfect night to discover new tastes, brewery stands and special wines for a tasting

experience, all rhythmed by a special set of live musicians right beneath the majestic Xewkija Parish church. Dessert lovers will also not be disappointed with an overwhelming choice of sweets and home-made ice creams, to name just a few, they are spoilt for choice. Vouchers are collected at the entrance against a payment of €2. Patrons will get a top-up card, top up with a minimum €10 credit and redeem in any food they desire. 🇬🇧 Hope in Action APS is a youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering Afghan women, youth, and families through education, community engagement, and advocacy. At this year's Malta International Food Festival, they will be sharing the rich culture and heritage of Afghanistan through a vibrant programme of performances and cultural displays, including the traditional Afghan national dance, Attan, poetry celebrating Afghan literature, and a showcase of traditional Afghan clothing.

Malta International Food Festival 2026: five nights, 42 cuisines, over 1,000 dishes. The Granaries, Floriana, 5 to 9 August.

If you're looking for things to do in Malta this August, the Malta International Food Festival is back and this is the biggest edition yet. From Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August 2026, The Granaries in Floriana turns into an open-air food capital, running daily from 18:00 until midnight.

The food
42 international cuisines and more than 1,000 different dishes in one square. Maltese classics sit next to Italian, Indian, Chinese, Venezuelan, Filipino and dozens more national kitchens, with over exhibitors including local producers, international brands, embassies and cultural organisations. There are craft beers, rare wines, desserts and tasting opportunities at the stands, plus live cooking shows where you can watch chefs prepare signature dishes from around the world.

The entertainment
Live music on the Main Stage every single night, featuring some of Malta's best loved artists and bands. Thursday 6 August is the Salsa and Bachata Festival, a full Latino night for anyone who wants to dance. The International Culture Stage runs alongside it, showcasing music, dance and traditions from Malta's expat communities.

The rest of it
An Artisan Area with local makers and handmade goods. A dedicated Kids Zone with rides, games and entertainment, so it genuinely works as a family night out. And a Chillout and Cocktail Area with DJ sets and drinks for when you want to sit down, cool off and take it all in.

Sustainability
This year the festival runs on reusable cups in partnership with Circular Economy Malta. Buy your cup once, then refill it all night, every night. Creating value, not waste.
