Music Speaks… 🎶♥️

This morning was emotional, vibrant, and truly uplifting. A room full of people came together, open to listening to Alessia’s voice and to experiencing the powerful connections that music creates ♥️😇♥️

The energy in the room was beautiful—music speaking where words sometimes cannot, bringing people together in a shared moment of feeling, reflection, and joy.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, to our three amazing musicians who transported us with their music and to all those who continue to believe in Alessia, follow her journey, and support her year after year. Your encouragement means more than words can say 🎵♥️🎹

Four wonderful musicians have come together, working closely to shape the music you will hear 💛🎵

Rehearsals are always a magical moment — where individual practice becomes shared music-making. Listening, adjusting, supporting each other, and slowly bringing the programme to life.

This year's slogan “Diverse Musical Encounters” truly comes alive in these moments: different instruments, different backgrounds, different journeys… all meeting through music.

And when the music begins to flow together, something beautiful happens — connection.

An Inspiring Concert You Won’t Want to Miss!

Music Speaks is delighted to announce an exciting collaboration of Alessia Bonnici with her friends for a special concert in support of the Jose Depiro Community Center in the Philippines.

This promises to be a truly inspiring and engaging evening, bringing together beautiful music and a meaningful cause. All funds raised will go directly towards helping children in the Philippines who are pursuing their education and working hard to achieve their dreams.

Music Speaks
Join us on Sunday 15th March 2026 at 11:00am at Teatru Manoel, Sala Isourd for Music Speaks.
We are pleased to present Mariah Costa, who will be performing as she continues her annual concert.

Mariah Costa is a 21-year-old Maltese soprano active in opera, concert, and recital performance. She trained at the Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival 2025, performing Musetta in La Bohème with support from the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation and the Janatha Stubbs Foundation.

Mariah holds a Diploma in Vocal Performance from the MAVC Malta School of Music, where she sang Contessa d’Almaviva, Anna, and Mimì. She studies with Miriam Cauchi and performs with Opera Nova Project, the Abos Project, and Consort.

Her experience includes major festivals, masterclasses, and national broadcasts across Malta and abroad in staged operas and concert repertoire internationally.

Music Speaks – Alessia Bonnici

Join us on Sunday 15th March 2026 at 11:00am at Teatru Manoel, Sala Isourd for Music Speaks.

We are pleased to present Alessia Bonnici, who will be performing on the piano as she continues her annual concert.

Alessia Bonnici is a pianist on the autism spectrum who has been exploring her love for music since 2012. A Rising Star of 2022, she made her debut at the Manoel Theatre during the Malta Spring Festival and has since performed in Malta and abroad.

Through Ale’s Project — supported by Arts Council Malta and the AX Foundation — Alessia promotes inclusion through music. She has shared the stage with Italian artist Gigi D’Alessio, performed as the pianist in the 2025 theatrical production Novecento, and co-created Music Speaks, a concert series that brings together different musical styles and performers. 💚💛

🎶 Music Speaks! 🎶

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible support and generosity of everyone who attended the Music Speaks concert, Alessia and Mikaela are presenting a total of €1,444.60 to The Malta Trust Foundation. This contribution will directly support Ta’ Saura, a project dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities to children and young people with disAbilities, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.

A heartfelt thanks goes to Alessia, her fellow musicians, and the producers and collaborators who helped make this event a success. Together, we aspire to make a positive impact in the lives of these young individuals and their families. 🌟
