Teatru Unplugged has become a fixture in the Maltese culture scene since it was first launched in 1998 by co-founders Jonathan Shaw & Nirvana Azzopardi. This ’concert with a difference’ set out to provide a platform for up and coming local artists, and has been doing so annually since 1998. The combination of different acts from varying musical genres in one event proved to be not only a unique c

oncept but also innovative in it's own way. The fact that each act is relatively short, approximately for 18minutes, equivalent to 4 songs, creates a fast moving event. Teatru Unplugged has been held annually at the Manoel Theatre in Valletta and is Malta's longest standing annual event to date.
