Originally from Paris and now Amsterdam based, Hyden makes techno that leaves room for groove: trippy textures, old school swing and frenetic percussion. His studio work includes releases on Cleric’s Clergy and Mutual Rytm, while he is also one half of Random Order with Seigg. After performances at London’s Fold and Berlin’s RSO, we have the pleasure of hosting him alongside Tbilisi’s VELTAX / HARD GANG this Saturday at Club Phoenix.

Ukrainian rooted, Berlin native artist Chontane joins Neolitika alongside VELTAX on Saturday 5 September for a live performance. With a background in sound engineering, he has built a precise, percussive body of work across Mutual Rytm, Dax J’s Monnom Black and his own TANE imprint, among others. His sound moves between techno and other club forms, led by texture, transients and rhythmic detail. Having brought that approach to rooms including Berghain and Basement, he now joins us for our long awaited Club Phoenix debut.

Tbilisi’s VELTAX residents CLINICAL HATES and Irakli Rukhadze make their Malta debut on Saturday 5 September, for a three-hour joint set. Clinical Hates brings fast, groove-led techno, shaped through releases on Anetha’s Mama Told Ya and Perc Trax. Iraklion adds a more atmospheric, narrative dimension, using texture and tension to shape the pace of the set. Together, they bring the raw power of Georgia’s underground to Malta.

Berlin’s SESH finally lands in Malta on Saturday 19 September, joining Neolitika at ARIA for one long SESH. On the bill: the disruptive force of BIIA, Scottish genre-fluid artist sim0ne, KLAPS, whose latest release sits in the top 10 of Beatport’s Techno chart, INVERTED, no stranger to the SESH label, and the versatile PHYNYKS. A night that brings techno, hard house, trance, bounce and groove into one long session. Expect the unexpected.
