Deputy Chief of Mission Ken Toko attended a wonderful concert by the visiting New Hampshire Friendship Chorus, which travels globally and builds bridges of international understanding through music. The concert featured a special joint performance with the Amadeus Chamber Choir and beautifully symbolized the people-to-people ties that underpin U.S.-Maltese friendship. DCM Toko enjoyed connecting with Maestro Dan Perkins, Maestro Brian Cefai, and members of both choirs while experiencing this meaningful cultural exchange firsthand. Special thanks to Neeta Helms, President of Classical Movements, for helping to bring the New Hampshire Friendship Chorus to Malta!

Music has the power to bring people together from all corners of the world, both near and far. It is through this shared passion that our hearts truly beat in harmony 🎵🎵🎵
The Amadeus Chamber Choir extends its heartfelt thanks to Maestro Dan Perkins for his inspiring direction, and to all the wonderful choristers of the New Hampshire Friendship Chorus (USA) for their vibrant energy and enthusiasm in joining us in song.
We wish them a pleasant stay in our country and every success in their future endeavors. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

A special word of thanks goes to Fr. Charles Cini for so kindly hosting us in the parish church shortly after the Feast of St. Publius. We were truly grateful for the opportunity to perform in such a beautiful setting and to still admire and appreciate the stunning decorations that remained from the celebrations.
A warm thank you goes to our pianist, Christine Gauci for her wonderful accompaniment on both piano and organ.

A message from our Maestro Brian Cefai:
Dear Mro. Dan Perkins and the wonderful members of the New Hampshire Friendship Chorus....
What an absolutely unforgettable evening we shared yesterday. The music was beautiful, but even more special was the genuine warmth, kindness, and sense of togetherness that filled the Church of St. Publius. From the moment you arrived, we felt so sincerely welcomed and embraced, and that meant more than words can fully express.

There was something truly magical about the bond we all shared, coming together not just as performers, but as friends united through music and mutual appreciation. That feeling of connection will stay with us for a very long time.

Please know that you will all be deeply and sincerely missed. We carry with us not only the memory of your wonderful music, but also the laughter, the conversations, and the friendships that blossomed so naturally.

We truly hope that this is not goodbye, but simply “until we meet again.” It would be a joy and a privilege to cross paths in the future and relive such special moments together, sharing music, friendship, and the same heartfelt spirit once more.

May God bless each and every one of you, and may the beautiful friendship we have built continue to grow, no matter the distance between us.
