From the 30th of June to the 5th of July, the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC) will be hosting a Classical Music Academy on the Mediterranean island of Malta.

A host of celebrated pedagogues and musicians from all over the world will be travelling to Malta to lead the courses, with students being given the opportunity to gain a glimpse into the minds of these masters, and further their own musical education thanks to the intense but rewarding format of the masterclass.

Do you know how to find your tone? How to sound natural? How not to be afraid to sing in front of the public? Andriana Yordanova and her accompanist Sofia Narmania will share their professional secrets with those who want to improve their vocal abilities.

We are delighted to share with you some exciting news🔥🔥🔥

SAMIT Event Group together with FUJAIRAH FINE ARTS ACADEMY in collaboration with Fujairah Creative Hub are launching the “Fujairah Art Caravan” as a part of the 2nd edition of the Middle East Classical Music Academy.

MECMA will take place across several Emirates from 8 to 19 May 2022 in such distinguished venues as Fujairah Creative Hub, Ajman Culture Center, Abu-Dhabi National Theatre, Ras Al Khaimah Culture Center, and others.😉

The project is held under the patronage of His Highness MOHAMMED BIN HAMAD AL SHARQI, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

The Academy will not only feature internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors performing with the Middle East Orchestra but also them conducting masterclasses for the young generation. 💫

Moreover, some of the Academy's students will be lucky to present Emirati local music on the same stage with guest performers, which adds value and uniqueness to this project.

🤩🤩🤩 The Middle East Classical Music Academy is featuring Daily Lunchtime Concerts in Dubai, which will provide students with a chance to perform alogside top international orchestras.🎻🎹🎼

The MECMA shall also incorporate a series of daily lunchtime concerts with the participation of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (ASSO), the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, and a host of international soloists and conductors.

These concerts shall be taking place at the famed MusicHall in Dubai’s illustrious Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, and will see conductors Felix Korobov (Russia), Giuseppe Bruno (Italy), Valid Ağayev (Azerbaijan), Aleksei Niaga (Russia), Mikhail Kirchhoff (Russia), Conrad van Alphen (Netherlands/South Africa), Arkady Feldman (Russia), Ilya Norshtein (Russia), and Oliver Weder (Germany) leading the two orchestras in performances of some of the most beloved works from the classical music canon.

More significantly, however, the concerts shall also be providing select Academy students with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the feeling of performing live on stage alongside two of the top international orchestras active today.

This endeavour shall allow students to share the spotlight with renowned soloists like violinists Haik Kazazyan (Armenia), Sergei Dogadin (Russia), Graf Mourja (Hungary/Russia), Andrey Baranov (Russia), and Nikita Boriso-Glebsky (Russia), flautists Maxim Rubtsov (Russia), and Jasmine Choi 최나경 (Korea/Austria), duduk player Emmanuel Hovhannisyan (Armenia), clarinettist Sergey Eletskiy (Russia), accordionist Friedrich Lips (Russia), pianist Costanza Principe (Italy), violist David Aaron Carpenter (USA), and cellist Alexander Ramm (Russia).

A number of young prodigies shall also be delivering concerts as part of the EUFSC’s Young Classical Music Stars programme. Pianists Elisey Mysin (Russia), Zahar Vnutskih (Russia), Ivan Bessonov (Russia), and Ivaylo Vassilev (Bulgaria), alongside violinists Sofia Leifer (Denmark), and Leia Zhu - The Violin Girl (UK/China) shall be the soloists for this year’s edition of the programme.

Dear Friends, please find all new information regarding masterclasses in Dubai on our MECMA page! 🤩🙌

The European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC) is very proud to announce that the first edition of the 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 (MECMA) shall be launching in Dubai between the 4th and 23rd of September 2021, organised in partnership with SAMIT Event Group.

Building on a storied history of masterclasses, academies, and other educational events that the EUFSC has been holding all over the world over the past few years, the MECMA looks to introduce this concept into the Middle East, as part of the Foundation’s new endeavour to expand the appreciation and development of classical music beyond its traditional boundaries.

A number of courses in the schools of piano and strings shall be offered over a period of three weeks, with the lectures, seminars, and masterclasses set to be led by a roster of globally distinguished musicians and music pedagogues. There shall also be various concerts being held over the course of the event, featuring the participation of the students attending the Academy, who shall be performing alongside an array of acclaimed international artists.

The international city of Dubai has been chosen as the backdrop to the inaugural edition of this ambitious event, with the imposing architecture and spectacular venues that the city is known for promising to provide the perfect context for students to further develop and advance their musical abilities.

Hi everyone!

We’re very sorry to announce that, unfortunately, we’ve had to take the (very) difficult decision to postpone the Malta Classical Music Academy to later this year 😔

However, (in the words of Douglas Adams…) DON’T PANIC! 🙂 The MCMA will now take place from 30th August – 27th September, with the same number of concerts and with the same lineup of incredible soloists 😍

It wasn’t an easy decision, but the safety of our fantastic audiences, visiting artists and staff is our top priority, and with the ongoing situation (due to ‘you-know-what’!), this was felt to be the right way to go.

For those of you who already have tickets, fear not — your booking will still be valid and we’ll get new tickets out to you soon. If you’d like to request a refund, just let us know.

Please note that owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the EUFSC’s Malta Classical Music Academy (MCMA) has been rescheduled to 30th August – 27th September 2021. Full announcement at the MCMA website.

Whilst we understand the disappointment this will cause, we believe this to be in the best interests of our students and staff, and are confident this will lead to an even more successful Academy later this year. In the meantime, we wish each and every one of you a safe and prosperous spring, and we look forward to welcoming you to Malta later this year.
