Hoi Polloi Hoi Polloi Malta consisting of
Hoi Polloi Theatre Company | Hoi Polloi Academy (HPA)|The Creative Hub

HOI POLLOI THEATRE PRODUCTIONS started early in 2004 when a group of enthusiastic sixth formers worked together with the help of professionals in the theatre scene to make HOI POLLOI’s first production ever come to life; SINDI RELLA – a summer panto. The idea behind HOI POLLOI is to create a platform where budding artists can be given the chance to develop and express their talent by working with theatre veterans and by performing to live audiences. Inspired by the musical, ‘Billy Elliot’, Hoi Polloi believes that there is a lot of talent out there, sometimes in unlikely places, waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Just as Billy; the son of a widowed UK coal miner in 1985, had the potential to become an excellent ballet dancer, so do many undiscovered artists have the potential to make it in the theatre scene both locally and abroad. Hoi Polloi wants to live up to its name and provide this opportunity now with launch of the new HPA - HOI POLLOI ACADEMY with courses in Drama, Dance, Singing and Musical Theatre.

Apparently, our Musical Director keeps telling everyone to “USE YOUR SUPPORT!” 🎶

I mean… HAVE YOU SEEN MINE?! 👀

Biex inżomm kollox wieqaf, oħt, I need more structural engineering than the Royal Opera House itself! 🏗️🤣

Darlings, in this Opera House, the only thing more dramatic than the Phantom… is my décolletage! 💅

🎭✨ BEHIND EVERY GREAT STORY… THERE'S AN EXTRAORDINARY ENSEMBLE!

They bring the stage to life. They fill every scene with energy, every dance with movement, and every musical number with glorious harmonies! 🎶💃They create the atmosphere, drive the storytelling, and turn individual moments into something truly spectacular.

Today, we're shining the spotlight on the wonderful ENSEMBLE of THE PANTO OF THE OPERA! ❤️

Their talent, commitment, teamwork and infectious energy are at the very heart of this production. Because a great show isn't just about its leading characters… it's about the entire company bringing the story to life, together!

And what a company we have! 👏

🎶💜 Before there was a script, a production team, or a cast… when Hocus Pocus: The Pantoween was just a spark of an idea, there was a musical director who believed.

From that very first conversation, jumped on board — helping shape the sound, spirit, and heartbeat of this production.

Yesterday’s sitzprobe was the first taste of months of artistic dialogue, creative problem-solving, and musical magic coming to life.

Thank you, Christine, for giving life and soul to the music of this Pantoween. 🎭✨
