🏆 2026 Basildon Area Qualifier 🏆

What an unforgettable weekend! My heart is full of pride after watching the incredible pupils of Rhythm & Shoes Dance Academy take to the floor at the NATD Anglian Area Qualifier in Basildon.

Every single dancer gave their best, performing with passion, confidence, and determination, and truly shining on the dance floor. Seeing their hard work, dedication, and love for dance come alive in competition is the greatest reward a teacher could ask for. I am immensely proud of each and every one of you — you are all stars! ✨

Out of 19 pupils and 7 couples, we achieved:

🥇 13 – 1st Places
🥈 10 – 2nd Places
🥉 6 – 3rd Places
🏅 8 – 4th Places
🏅 10 – 5th Places
🏅 2 – 6th Places

🎖 6 Semi-Finalists

A very special thank you goes to Mr Steven Verrall for his continuous help, support, and guidance.

To all the parents — thank you from the bottom of my heart for your constant support, dedication, and for always believing in both the students and in me. Your encouragement truly makes a huge difference and helps our dancers grow with confidence.

A big thank you also to the organisers for such a well-organised competition and for the professionalism shown throughout the event.
